Our hearts go out to the family, friends and fellow officers of Const. Andrew Hong, a 22 year veteran of the Toronto Police Service who was shot and killed while bravely serving his community. This tragedy is devastating to the entire policing community and to all of us and we share in their grief.

Canadian Walk For Veterans

It’s the 5th anniversary of the Canadian Walk For Veterans and to commemorate this milestone we’ve created this special edition challenge coin that depicts flag bearers walking under a banner at our 2019 Edmonton walk. The flag bearer on the right is Troy D. Deatrich who wore the Air Force blue uniform for his entire career. Troy served 7 years at 4 Wing Cold Lake - Wing Operations, Aerospace Engineering Test Establishment and throughout his military career he served at Edmonton Garrison - 1 Combat Engineer Regiment, Lord Strathcona's Horse (Royal Canadians), Canadian Forces Recruiting Detachment Edmonton, 1 Canadian Mechanized Brigade Group Headquarters and Signals Squadron, Military Family Resource Centre and Land Forces Western Area Headquarters. He was an Administrative Clerk until 1998 when they were amalgamated into the Logistics Branch and became Resource Management Support Clerks. He was medically released in 2011 as a Master Corporal.
These hand crafted pewter challenge coins are produced right here in Canada by Dracks Military Plaques, a veteran founded and owned company in Ottawa.
