CONTACT is excited to announce that we have a brand new position available.
CONTACT Community Services is seeking a Bilingual Case Manager to support a Veteran-specific Housing First pilot program in Simcoe County. This role will provide intensive, client‑centered case management services to Veterans experiencing chronic or episodic homelessness, helping them secure housing, stabilize long‑term, and improve overall wellbeing. Service delivery will be grounded in the principles of Housing First, with a focus on rapid housing placement, housing stabilization, and long-term wellbeing. The Case Manager will work closely with community partners, Legions, and Veteran‑specific services to strengthen coordinated care pathways.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS OF THIS POSITION INCLUDE:
Bilingual – English and French
Community College Diploma or a University Degree in social services or other closely related field or a combination of education and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities as determined by the employer
Minimum of 2 years’ recent full-time work experience within a social services/health care or related environment, including providing case management to individuals/families experiencing chronic/episodic homelessness
Demonstrated knowledge of Housing First principles, guidelines and related housing concepts, acts and regulations
Knowledge of psychosocial rehabilitation, recovery principles and harm reduction philosophy
An understanding of case management; including assessment, service planning, skills reaching, monitoring and evaluation
Ability to engage sound judgment and strong problem-solving skills; excellent written and verbal communication with administrative and organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks
Strong interpersonal skills with proven ability to work independently as well as part of a team
Demonstrated knowledge of human/legal rights and relevant legislation.
Full G license and reliable vehicle

Social Services Program Planner The Social Services Program Planner will be responsible for supporting the research, planning and development of CONTACT’s community programs. This role ensures CONTACT’s programs meet the needs of the community and avoids duplication of services. The Social Services Program Planner also supports the smooth activation of program priorities, coordinates activities for a varied demographic including youth, seniors and newcomers and serves as a key point of contact for staff, volunteers and participants.
Key responsibilities include:
· Conduct community research to identify key program priorities
· Assist in developing and executing program plans, schedules and budget
· Coordinate meetings, events and communications among staff and volunteers
· Track progress and prepare reports for leadership
· Maintain accurate records and documentation
· Provide administrative and logistical support to ensure program success
· Participate in community festivals and events
· Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
· Outgoing and positive personality and demonstrated ability to take initiative
· Able to work with different mediums of communication
· Strong problem-solving skills
· Superior communication skills: written, verbal and presentation
· Collaborative, a good listener
· Computer proficiency including Excel, Windows, Microsoft Office applications and databases
· Exceptional time management skills
Occasional travel throughout South Simcoe and the region will also be required, event-dependant.
