10 YEARS OF CLOTHZ ✨ | THE PEOPLE BEHIND IT ALL

We’ve spent the last several days looking back at the clothes, the trends, the photo shoots, the ridiculous videos, the different stores, the big moments, the stressful moments and everything in between.

But for our final reel, it only felt right to celebrate the part of Clothz that has always mattered most:
The people behind it. ❤️
To every single person who has worked at Clothz over the last 10 years — THANK YOU
Whether you were here for a season or for years, you became part of our story. You unpacked boxes, steamed approximately a million pieces of clothing, helped customers find outfits they felt amazing in, worked crazy sale days, posed for photos, made ridiculous Reels, rearranged the store a million times and helped turn my ideas into reality.
Clothz simply would not be what it is today without the incredible people who have worked here along the way.

And then there’s my husband, Dave. The silent partner in Clothz. Thank you for coming along on this crazy ride with me. For believing in me, supporting me, talking me through the stressful days and somehow never running away when I start a sentence with “Okay, so I have an idea…” 😂. For being a good sport when I dragged you to trade shows and buying appointments over the years… and for roping you into more projects than you probably ever signed up for. I couldn’t have done any of this without you. ❤️

And of course, my parents — who apparently didn’t realize that having a daughter open a boutique would result in 10 years of unpaid employment. 🤣
From helping us get multiple store units ready, painting, building, fixing light bulbs and more… you’ve always shown up. No matter what crazy project I’ve taken on, I know I can call and you’ll be there to lend a hand. Thank you for always being in my corner. ❤️

10 YEARS OF CLOTHZ ✨ | 2024

We’re counting down to our 10 Year Anniversary by taking a little trip through the Clothz archives… one year at a time. 🥹

Next up: 2024!

By 2024, we were pretty settled into our “new era” of Clothz — and after some of the absolute CHAOS of the previous years, we were more than happy to just keep selling cute clothes and having fun while doing it. 😂❤️

But we did have one VERY important addition…
The Clothz Baby Club grew again! 🍼
Britt welcomed sweet little Maysen.

The rest of the year was filled with everything we love — great fashion, photo shoots, ridiculous behind-the-scenes videos, lots of laughs and probably far too much content that should have stayed in the camera roll. 🤣

At this point, the people behind Clothz had become just as much a part of our social media as the clothes… and honestly, we wouldn’t have it any other way. ❤️

Looking back at 2024, there weren’t any huge store moves or major plot twists — just another year of doing what we love with people we love.

And those might just be some of the best years. 🥹✨

We’re counting down to our 10 Year Anniversary by taking a little trip through the Clothz archives… one year at a time. 🥹

Next up: 2022!

After surviving 2020 and 2021, surely things were finally going to calm down…
Apparently, calm just isn’t really our thing. 😂
2022 brought some BIG changes to Clothz.

We packed up our original Alliston store and moved into our current location — giving us WAY more space, a fresh new look and room for Clothz to grow into its next chapter. 🥹❤️

We travelled to New York City for buying, saw new brands, new trends and started thinking bigger about what we wanted Clothz to become. 🗽✨

And then came a change we weren’t exactly expecting — we closed our Newmarket location.
It was bittersweet and definitely not how we imagined that chapter ending. But looking back now, it feels like 2022 was the beginning of a new era for Clothz.

There was a lot of change, a lot of uncertainty, a few WHAT ARE WE DOING?! moments 😂 — but also so much excitement about what was ahead.

And somehow, through all the craziness, we still found time for photo shoots, ridiculous videos and the usual Clothz chaos.

Next up: 2021! 💕

We made it through 2020, so surely 2021 was going to be easier… right?!
It was not. 😂

We were now juggling TWO Clothz locations, made it through two more provincial lockdowns, and social distancing, masks and restrictions were still very much part of everyday life.

It was another year of changing plans, adapting on the fly and basically never knowing what the next announcement was going to bring.

But somehow, we still managed to have a LOT of fun along the way. ❤️

Our Clothz family grew, and some familiar faces joined the team — including Kelsey and Brittney! 🥹 There were photo shoots, ridiculous videos, lots of laughs and plenty of moments that reminded us that even during the stressful times, we had a pretty great group of people to get through it with.

Looking back, 2021 wasn’t necessarily an easy chapter in the Clothz story… but it was definitely an important one.
We adapted. We laughed. We stress-cried a little. 😂 And most importantly, we kept going. ❤️

And we’ve officially arrived at… 2020. 😳
Remember yesterday when we ended 2019 happily welcoming in the new year?
Yeah… about that. 😂

2020 was a YEAR. Stores closed, plans changed approximately 472 times, we learned more about masks, curbside pickup and hand sanitizer than we ever wanted to know… and somehow, in the middle of ALL of that, we thought:
“You know what would be a great idea? LET’S OPEN ANOTHER STORE.” 🤣

So yes — in the middle of a global pandemic, Clothz Newmarket opened its doors. Because apparently we like a challenge. 😂.

There were definitely some stressful days, some what are we even doing?! moments and a whole lot of figuring things out as we went. But there were also plenty of laughs, ridiculous behind-the-scenes videos, photo shoots and a community that continued to support us through one of the strangest years imaginable. ❤️

Looking back at these memories, 2020 was chaotic, unpredictable and definitely NOT what any of us had planned…

But it became a pretty unforgettable chapter in our story. 🥹

By 2019, we had clearly gotten VERY comfortable with sharing what went on behind the scenes at Clothz. 😂
More photo shoots, more ridiculous videos, more staff shenanigans… and apparently absolutely no hesitation about putting any of it on the internet. 🤣

Looking through these old videos is probably one of our favourite parts of this countdown. The clothes and trends have definitely changed, but the laughs, the chaos and the people behind Clothz are such a huge part of our story too. ❤️

And then we wrapped up 2019, bright-eyed and optimistic, with a little Happy New Year post welcoming 2020…
