Summer Reading Club is just around the corner, and we are kicking off with Juno Award Nominee, Mary Lambert on Monday, July 6! Celebrate the start of summer with friends and music. Gather around our Blue Space next to the playground while enjoying a cool treat on us!
There will be two shows, one at 1:00 p.m. and the other at 3:00 p.m.

Get ready for an incredible summer! Join our Summer Reading Club Volunteer Team and encourage a love of reading while helping with activities and crafts for school age kids. The SRC runs from July 7th to August 13th at APL and is designed to encourage children from PreK through Grade 7 to develop their reading skills throughout the summer through various fun-filled incentives and activities, and it offers a great volunteer program.

Effective June 30, the Library SmartLockers at Genesis Place will be permanently closing. With growing demand at our main branch in Inspire, we're focusing our resources where they can best support our community.
We understand this may be disappointing, and we sincerely appreciate everyone who used the service. We look forward to welcoming you to Inspire, where our team is always happy to help you access the Library's collections!

Our Create Space is open – and you’re invited to another explore Friday, happening June 19 from 4:30 to 6:00 p.m.
Join us for a hands-on, curiosity-driven, drop-in session where you can experiment with technology, try out creative tools, or get support with a tech problem. Whether you’re interested in 3D printing, digital design, robotics, or just want to see what’s new, our skilled creative spacers will be available to guide and assist.
No registration is necessary, come and learn what you can create!

Libraries are for everyone – and we are excited to celebrate the Airdrie Pride Festival on June 20th at Nose Creek Park. At 1:00 p.m. the Royal Readers Posie Pocket and The Frizz will be joining us for a special story time. We will be singing along, playing with the parachute, and shining as a community!

Celebrate National Indigenous Peoples Day with a special storytelling experience featuring Judy Everson and Elle Everson of Momma Moon Journeys. Together, they will share a reading of their book Northern Lights Starry Dancer and guide families in a creative bookmark-making activity.
Blending storytelling with hands-on art, this family-friendly program offers a meaningful way to connect with Indigenous culture, stories, and teachings. Join us to learn, create, and celebrate together on this important day.
