I am recently retired and my plan was to sew a few rope bowls for gifts and something to do. After doing a few I was hooked and so was everyone else.

So I have started this page to showcase my rope crafts.

I ordered some faux leather a few months ago and wanted to use it on something a little different. I haven’t tried the braid on a place mat before but I kinda like the look it gives, like a shinny button on a black shirt.
With a bit of bling added it would look awesome on a coffee table, entry table or even your kitchen table.
Approx.- 12” around
Asking - $30

Another rainy, makes for another sewing day. One more new rope colour. It’s called navy but it kinda wish it was a bit darker.
However, with the new fabric I just picked up, it makes a pretty bowl. I added a little handle at the back and a leather flower.
6” x 3 1/2”
Available for - $40

With the much needed rain coming down in buckets I took this time to stay inside and create.
One of my very kind neighbours retired her purse. She took it all apart and generously donated some great stuff for my collection. That was awhile ago and just wasn’t sure how to use it all until I received a new order of rope. New colour is mocha.
Not a lot of embellishment on this basket as I felt the buckle makes a great statement by itself. Thanks so much Brenda 😊
Size is 6” x 4”
Asking $45

Hope everyone is enjoying the long weekend despite the weather.
Another rolled edge bowl. I have had this granny square edging for quite awhile. Thinking it would kind of go with the fabric on the bottom. Not quite what I was hoping but with the edging being 2” wide the roll had to be bigger than I wanted. However, I am pleased with it and hope you all like it.
7” x 2 1/2” (ish)

I am a little late in posting this bowl/basket but thought it was a pretty one to show you on Mother’s Day.

Did this one up yesterday for a special customer. She picked out the fabric and rope colours and the embellishment too. I think she chose well.

I tried to capture the “Stock Show” look with this basket.
Whether a girl is into cattle, horses, sheep or any other livestock showing, this seems to be what girls are gravitating to.
I used pink rope with a bit of brown to go with the fabric print,
Then added a bit of bling all around to complete the look.
It would work great on a dresser for putting in hair accessories, jewelry, or even makeup. Just a really pretty accent container.
5” x 3 1/2” tall
Available for - $45
