I am recently retired and my plan was to sew a few rope bowls for gifts and something to do. After doing a few I was hooked and so was everyone else.

So I have started this page to showcase my rope crafts.

Wasn’t sure if I should post this table mat. I have been looking for heat dissolving fabric tape. When I join 2 colours I usually wrap fabric around the join. I was really hoping to find something to use without wrapping.
So far unsuccessful, but I found some water soluble tape. This will be the first and last try.
Don’t look too close or you will spot my error.

Good day all. I tried a double braid with this bowl. I am calling it a China bowl. This fabric looked so much like fine China and I really liked the blue and white.
Made a few mistakes but will improve on the next try.
6” base x 4” tall
$45
Opinions and advice are always appreciated.

This fabric really caught my eye.
It really didn’t match a lot of my rope colours but I had to have it.
This is what I chose. I would live your feedback.
6” x 2 1/2”
Priced at $40
SOLD !!!!!

I am back!!
I couldn’t justify being downstairs sewing when the weather had been so nice but now I prefer being inside creating.
These 2 baskets are showing the same fabric with 2 completely different colours of rope.
They are 5” base x 3” tall
Each has a recycled leather flower.
$35. Ea. Or $60 for both

I ordered some faux leather a few months ago and wanted to use it on something a little different. I haven’t tried the braid on a place mat before but I kinda like the look it gives, like a shinny button on a black shirt.
With a bit of bling added it would look awesome on a coffee table, entry table or even your kitchen table.

Another rainy, makes for another sewing day. One more new rope colour. It’s called navy but it kinda wish it was a bit darker.
However, with the new fabric I just picked up, it makes a pretty bowl. I added a little handle at the back and a leather flower.
6” x 3 1/2”
Available for - $40
SOLD !!!!

With the much needed rain coming down in buckets I took this time to stay inside and create.
One of my very kind neighbours retired her purse. She took it all apart and generously donated some great stuff for my collection. That was awhile ago and just wasn’t sure how to use it all until I received a new order of rope. New colour is mocha.
Not a lot of embellishment on this basket as I felt the buckle makes a great statement by itself. Thanks so much Brenda 😊
Size is 6” x 4”
Asking $45

Hope everyone is enjoying the long weekend despite the weather.
Another rolled edge bowl. I have had this granny square edging for quite awhile. Thinking it would kind of go with the fabric on the bottom. Not quite what I was hoping but with the edging being 2” wide the roll had to be bigger than I wanted. However, I am pleased with it and hope you all like it.
7” x 2 1/2” (ish)
Msg for price

My second attempt at doing a rolled edge. Sage green and beige for the edge and a bit of antique lace for the trim makes for a simple but pretty basket
6” x 3”. Available - $40
SOLD !!!!

I am a little late in posting this bowl/basket but thought it was a pretty one to show you on Mother’s Day.
