Well the forecast didn’t show us getting this much rain! But we are so thankful! And it’s still drizzling….very lovely!

A big “blanket” fire ban is on now for a big chunk of the province. We are JUST above the line so we are going to reinforce the idea of extreme caution…and maybe just don’t risk any open fires…or fireworks…it’s getting too risky.

Fire bans increasing across the province…and just learned there are bans now in the La Ronge area. Which obviously means we MAY not be far behind as we are basically in the same zone. It is so hot and still today. Please be so careful folks!

So you have to know I’m not excited about these kinds of posts 😒 but it seems to just be our reality. There have been more and more fire bans popping up and there are some active fires in the province. We have had such lovely moisture which has brought the lake level up so much….but with sun and heat, the ground surface gets dry and crunchy fast. Just don’t want folks to get too lazy with fire safety! So please still be so cautious. Looks like rain is in the near forecast…hopefully it comes to fruition 🙏

Well folks….standing on my deck and can no longer see any ice! That happened fast….looks like it’s clear! Time to get summerin’ ☺️🎣

Soooo…..something weird again…..an edit was made to a post from 2023 which was NOT done by me. Not sure if it’s done by AI or a hacker? From what I could see, nothing too obvious was changed. But regardless…what the heck. Seems that these social media companies are being taken over by non human things and I don’t find it very cool. The day may come soon folks where I no longer entertain this silly stuff. Not liking the direction things are going. But either way, thanks for all your reactions and support for now.

This morning on the bridge….west side is pretty much clear and the east side still has some ice floating around. Should be completely clear too in a day or two….😊

Changes again! We got about 2/10ths of rain last night and the wind is gusting good today out of the west. That will help to moves things around and smash it up! If you zoom in you will still see some white ice in the distance…but with the weather we are having, it will be gone in the blink of an eye😉

Here’s a before (last year) and after (this morning) of the point on the beach….can’t even walk around the point now because the water has gone up so much!

Todays photo dump update….looking pretty groovy! Lots of mushy stuff and still some white stuff floating around. But heat and wind sure helped today! Shouldn’t be much longer!😊
