Christmas is an amazing time.
Get together with friends and family. Eat some food and enjoy some cheers.
Unfortunately! winter weather conditions can put a damper on the cheer and leave you in the dark.
GenerLink transfer switches can keep you powered up!
They safely connect your generator to your home and make for great emergency power.
GenerLink transfer switches are available in 30 and 40 amp models and with or without surge protection.

Ovens, fridges, dishwashers, washing machines, smart devices and the list goes on of devices that can be damaged.
A whole home surge protector blocks the shock caused by surges at the electrical panel so you can be rest assured that electronics are protected.

I’ve done some pretty cool stuff over my electrical career. But my most recent project, installing a new scoreboard in the Aberdeen RecPlex, makes it pretty damn close to the top.
It took a bit of creativity to hang and support it, but I always like a good challenge. It feels pretty good to have this kind of involvement in my community.
A selfie was needed to mark the occasion.

Happy Friday folks!
It’s been a hot minute!
Lots of work has been happening behind the scenes. We got ourselves a billboard up on HW 41 just outside of Aberdeen, a selfie was needed to mark the occasion!
Have a good weekend!

Do you happen to have an electrical panel in the.... Kitchen??
This home owner scratched his head a couple times when the home inspector found the electrical panel in a kitchen cabinet!! (with a 50 amp main breaker(!), the typical house these days has a 100 amp main breaker.)
Unfortunately, home insurance didn't like it so much and demanded a change. We were able re-locate a new panel into the basement and re-route all existing circuits to the new panel without getting invasive.
On top of that, this panel is easily 30 years old which is when your electrical panel won't work properly and could cause a home fire!
(Not so) Fun fact! Electrical fires consist of 9% of residential fires! Which is actually just as many as arson fires.

Good afternoon everyone! I’d like to give a HUGE thanks for the resounding support I’ve received off the hop.
For those that don’t know me, my name is Nicholas (Nick) Cochet. I’ve been an electrician for 7 years and acquired my Red Seal in the fall of 2018. But I first got the taste of electrical back when I was about 10 years old. I was always taking my toys apart and trying to figure out how they worked. I was particularly interested in how motors worked. Born and raised in the farm though, I was bred into the farm work mentality
I moved to Aberdeen in the winter of 2019 and I found that there was a need for an electrician in the community. After some time of thinking about it and community friends encouraging me, I finally took the leap!
I’ve found in the past while working for other contractors that there were decisions made that were not in the best interest of the client, unethical or wasteful. I’ve always made it my mission on every site to have nice neat work.
Aside from work, I have a family life. I married my wife, Kaila in July 2017. In December 2020, we brought our daughter Madelynn into this world. I also have two goofy golden retrievers, Harlow and Gemma, that round out our little family.
