As we approach World Environment Day 2026 under the theme "Climate Action", DFC highlights the importance of transitioning to Climate Resilient Housing by promoting technologies that protect our clients from climate risks such as hurricanes, flooding, and more. By enabling financing for these climate-resilient technologies, the DFC helps families build energy-efficient, resilient spaces for a safer tomorrow.

RESTORE Belize hosted the closing and graduation ceremony for the I AM Belize Scholarship Programme at the UWI Global Campus in Belize City, bringing together scholars from diverse schools and communities to celebrate their academic achievement, perseverance, and growth.

The programme’s continued success is made possible through the commitment of parents and donor partners, including the Development Finance Corporation (DFC), whose support helps remove financial barriers and empowers Belizean youth to pursue their educational and personal goals.

At the ceremony, Destiny Clare, a DFC-sponsored scholar, was recognized with the Community Champion Award for demonstrating leadership, service, and a strong commitment to supporting her school and community. Her mother, Ms. Trecia Clare, also received the Unwavering Support Award in acknowledgment of her consistent encouragement and dedication.

In addition, DFC was honoured with the Decade of Impact Award, marking 10 years of partnership with RESTORE Belize and recognizing its ongoing contributions to national development through education and the creation of opportunities.

These recognitions reflect the shared commitment to investing in people and working collaboratively toward a stronger Belize.
