EXPORTBelize Academia Outreach: Inspiring Future Entrepreneurs

On August 27, EXPORTBelize, a unit of BELTRAIDE, officially kicked off its Academia Outreach initiative, engaging over 300 students and teachers from the Business Departments of Corozal Junior College (CJC) and Centro Escolar Mexico Junior College (CEMJC).

The sessions were facilitated by Export Business Advisors Zain Hernandez and Rygel Rowley, who guided students through presentations, interactive activities, and discussions on entrepreneurship, business development, and the support available through EXPORTBelize and BELTRAIDE.

Students also had the opportunity to hear directly from two Belizean entrepreneurs from the Corozal District, Mr. Francis Holmes of Change Rhythm and Ms. Asli Mohamed of Mal-Mal, who shared their entrepreneurial journeys, the inspiration behind their businesses, challenges they have faced, and lessons for aspiring entrepreneurs.

The sessions also gave students the opportunity to present their own business ideas and receive direct feedback and guidance from experienced Business Advisors, helping them gain practical insight into how their ideas could be developed into viable businesses.

Through initiatives such as Academia Outreach, EXPORTBelize continues to strengthen connections with Belize’s future entrepreneurs by providing knowledge, exposure, mentorship, and access to the resources available to help transform ideas into viable businesses.

Today’s students are tomorrow’s entrepreneurs, innovators, and business leaders. EXPORTBelize is committed to helping Belize’s next generation of business minds build the confidence, knowledge, and connections they need to bring their ideas to life.

On August 26, 2026, BELTRAIDE, through its technical unit the Belize Training & Employment Centre, concluded its Project Management 101 Workshop, equipping participants with foundational knowledge and practical approaches to effective project management.

The workshop covered key areas including project planning, budgeting, risk management, ex*****on, and deadline management, while emphasizing the importance of effective leadership and problem-solving in achieving successful project outcomes.
