Boox But'

The Boox But' also known as relleno Negro is a traditional food of the Yucatec Maya.
This delicacy represents the gastronomic heritage of the Maya .
In pre-Hispanic times, the black recado was prepared with dried red chili peppers that were ground into a paste that was later diluted to make a kind of not so thick mole with which the meat of the prey they hunted was covered. During the invasion, the recipe was prepared with pork and hen brought by the Spanish . let's not forget that But' word has a Maya origin . In the Yucatec Maya language it means stuffing . The word Boox means Black . The black relleno continue to be the favorite food of the Yucatec Maya people of Belize.

Note : The Boox but' do not go with ketchup either . Remember the legend those who put ketchup in Relleno will be punish by the lords of Mitnal in the afterlife ;) . 😆
