How to create a new hardware product?

Let's say you already have an idea. You have researched and evaluated your competitors, you have conducted market research, now you are all set to start your product development: few steps from your dream to mass production

1. Research
-problem research
-business analysis
-proof-of-concept (PoC)

After this stage, you have a concept of a new product which includes business goals and risks, technical capabilities, the approximate unit cost of production and project plan.
Result: technical requirement

2. Development
-industrial design
-hardware design (circuit diagram and PCB)
-software development (embedded)

After the development stage you have the requirements that your final product must meet.
As a result: pre-production prototype, which is acceptable for certification, testing, and demonstration

3. Quality assurance
-Engineering Validation Test (EVT)
-Design Validation Test (DVT)
-Production Validation Test (PVT)
-Mass production

The only thing left to decide is whether to develop the product yourself, bring on technical co-founder(s), outsource to freelance engineers or outsource to a development firm.

Smart meters record daily electricity/water/gas use and share information about consumption between users and suppliers over wireless digital radio frequency networks.

· Radio protocol with the algorithm of recovering coding, which allows covering large territories with minimum signal.

· Patented PLC-technology, which has better traffic ability on low-quality power lines.

· Combined solution, Radio+PLC, in which the metering devices automatically chose the transfer channel

We develop products for wireless smart electricity, water, heat and gas metering, as well as base stations and data acquisition and transmission devices. All that allows establishing an integrated metering system of all resources or any specific resource, for example smart system of heat metering.
