Last week we visited Shopify HQ in Ottawa. Nick Schwinghamer kindly invited us for an office tour. Now it’s not surprising why Shopify has the best e-commerce platform for merchants and partners. There are plenty of choices where to work from, enjoy your work and be productive: modern meeting rooms, bright team open spaces, small kitchens, a large dining space, game rooms, even a yoga studio. More importantly there a lot of smart and nice people. We had a chance to chat with Rob Brown, Caitlin Teed, Ryan Hesketh, Andre McCauley and Katie MacDonald. After those meetings we are certain there is a great future for Shopify, it’s Merchants and Partners.

We met a lot of awesome people who work at Shopify and make commerce better for everyone. It‘s been a pleasure to chat with them and get to know each other, particularly with our amazing Partner Manager Amanda. 🙂

Those boys and girls are one of a kind! We had a lot of fun with them during the conference days. Hope to meet them soon in Minsk 🍻😉

One of the most exciting meetings was with Pinshape co-founders Lucas Matheson and Nick Schwinghamer who are directors at Shopify now. We were building Pinshape together in 2014-2016 but never met in person before. Finally, we met at Shopify Unite 2018! Remarkably we put our efforts into the same company again 😃

It was breathtaking meeting Sam Henning, Charles and the rest of the UnionWorks team 🤝🍻 We have been working together for more than a year, built several Shopify apps and finally met at the Pre-Unite party!
