A student can improve by or drop by 40% overall on their academics, all that percentage just based on the attitude they give towards their school work. Another variable is study techniques, it's piece is 30/100 according to AI, At ABI we know it's higher than that, with the leaps students take on the up side. Anyway lets stick to 30 for study skills.
I know they overlap, just to make a point, lets add them. Total is 70%. So just by shifting to a positive attitude towards learning and having proven study techniques, one should be around 70% overall.
The remaining 30% from 70 to 100, will account for the complexity or the lack there of in relation to the subjects.
Students often say they fail because stuff is hard, but really the reality is students are often the ones blocking themselves.
Lets say it's true stuff is hard & it's blocking your academic excellence, this should already tell you, you are already against something, you have an opposition, don't make it more difficult by being against yourself too.
Feeling stuck? Like your goals are miles away and you're not even moving?
The truth is, every big dream is built on a series of small, consistent steps.
You don't have to leap across the entire chasm today. Just take one small step.

We teach flexibility studying๐๐๐, that is why we only do scheduling for the following day & not for the entire week, how many times out of 52 weeks do you do your Fridays as you planned them on Sunday, realtalk here, we know students, that is why we don't do wall timetables when it comes to studying, they encourage rigidness. Yeah for attending class they work, but not for studying.
Studying ๐๐๐comes in levels, it is the art of taking concepts apart and understanding them, this is not just reading. Sometimes you read, understand concepts then & there, sometimes you get it now, then you lose it after some minutes, then regain back the understanding the following day, maybe you needed rest, sleep, or some you time. People normally take 2 - 3 days for certain difficult concepts to really sink in, hence one needs to allow for space & time for that to happen, and you can only do that if you are flexible in your studying.
Imagine following a wall timetable๐๐, daily alternating subjects, and one of the days some concept on a certain subject takes you longer than usual to understand, are you going to leave it half way done just because you have some timetable?, or are you going to continue?. Don't get me wrong, sticking to your plan is not wrong, thats what we do also, once you planned a day you stick to it 100%. It's the rigidness that we don't want, things like rest can't be planned exactly, you don't know if you will need a 2hr nap or 1hr nap. We don't know also, thats why we don't schedule naps for Friday on Sunday.
What we will normally do, based on that day's activity, we will continue scheduling that subject that needs time because we understand that understanding happens in steps, phases, as soon as we can identify what leads to what then we will look at other subjects.๐ง๐ง๐ง
It's not only for that reason that we are employe flexible studying. There are certain days one needs to focus on the info already in the brain, so they don't forget it, that can take a while and we might need to skip reading anything new that day. That requires flexibility.
There are a lot of reason. I know there are people who like these wall timetable, however here, although we have 3 months & mid 3 months long term study planning, we also teach scheduling using today's activities & focusing only on planning for the following day, and there are tools to make sure we are making the right decisions.
Hardly in our experience as students do Fridays happen exactly how we planned them on Sunday, thats why learning to bring flexibility to our studying is so very important.๐ธ๐ฅ๐ฅ

Why people copy during tests?๐ฌ๐ค
They have no confidence on what is in their mind.
How do you learn to trust your mind again, how do start siting in the front row when it's test time "willingly".๐ฉโ๐๐งโ๐
We all need time to learn our mind, take care of the needs first, what the mind needs then start using it. We all are guilty of using our minds, putting it through complex concepts and tests without us initially building a solid foundation it can use to stabilize in during these situations.๐
They do this in building๐๐๐ constructions as well, everyone in this field pays a lot of attention to building a solid foundation because with a well built foundation, it doesn't matter how many bricks you put on top afterwards, with a solid foundation, you can put as many bricks on top and build a skyscaper and still the building will be stable.
The reason why students don't trust their minds to a point of copying its because whatever information they try to put on it just falls out for some reason and that reason is that they did not pay much attention to building the foundation first so that their mind can hold whatever information they put on it afterwards.
Build a solid foundation for your mind first, then use it.๐๐โโ๏ธ๐งโ๐ซ๐จโ๐ซ
