Let us all celebrate one of the historic achievements of one of our own, Motswana songwriter and producer, 𝙆𝙀𝙄𝙂𝙊 𝙒𝘼𝙑.

In a monumental win for our creative industry, Keigo Wav has officially recorded over 431,000 verified sales within one week of release for the 𝗞-𝗽𝗼𝗽 𝗯𝗼𝘆𝗴𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗽 𝗶𝗱𝗻𝘁𝘁'𝘀 project '𝘆𝗲𝘀𝘄𝟴𝗮𝗿𝗲'. The album itself had gone to number 1 on the Hanteo and Circle Chart (Korean Billboard chart), and the group got their first-ever music show win through this album.

Having worked with numerous local YAMA AWARDS winners and nominees such as Thato Jessica (Love In September), Titose (The Greatest PHD), Malcom VX (The City of Poly), and extensively with members of the "Always Movin" collective, this musical journey has taken Keigo into highly competitive global markets, including the K-Pop industry, a space shared by world-renowned musicians like Babyface, who have all written for K-pop idols. Additionally, his role as a composer for Universal Music Thailand (D-NA - "BYE BYE") demonstrates that Botswana talent is being embraced by the global "Universal" family.

Keigo remains committed to using his experience to help grow our local ‘Orange Economy’. His success is a reminder that with hard work and Botho, the doors to the world are open for all Batswana creators.
