What an incredible and impactful event!
Voss BW had the absolute honor of joining the Youth Ambassadors 2026 Cohort as a speaking, connecting with brilliant university students from across Botswana. Together, we explored the powerful concept of Living By Design, a conversation centered on intentional choices, purpose driven living, leadership, and aligning one’s life with a clear vision.
It was truly inspiring to engage young minds and introduce our Career Guidance Assessment, designed to help students gain clarity, discover their strengths, and make informed decisions about their future.
Moments like these remind us why we do what we do, empowering the next generation to move beyond living by default and step boldly into lives of purpose, clarity, and courage.
The energy, the engagement, and the passion were simply amazing. Botswana’s future is in great hands! 🇧🇼
Making a tangible difference. Preparing final year high school students to make informed subject choices, aim to achieve the right points for placement into universities to pursue their dream courses.
At Voss our student registration sessions for career guidance assessments go beyond academics, we spend meaningful time pouring into young people, passionately teaching character development and instilling the value of character excellence, because true leadership is built from within. Shaping purpose driven, self aware individuals who are ready to unlock their potential and rise as remarkable leaders of tomorrow.

✨ CPD RECAP: Self Control vs Self Indulgence ✨
In our last CPD discussion, we reflected on the importance of self-control. Choosing to reject wrong desires and doing what is right. We mentioned that developing self control yields great rewards:
✅ Freedom – Positive daily habits free us from destructive ones.
✅ Fortitude – Controlling our temper and emotions builds strength, while lack of control weakens us.
✅ Impulse Control – The ability to resist or delay impulses helps us remain composed and responsible.
💡 Critical Steps to Building Self Control:
• Remember Your Goals – Saying “no” to one thing is saying “yes” to something better. Like athletes, we must give up certain things to achieve higher goals in our career, family, and health.
• Set Boundaries – Decide ahead of time where you draw the line. Boundaries protect you from impulsive mistakes.
• Get Help – Surround yourself with the right people. Seek support when you feel yourself losing control.
🌱 Best Practices & Perspectives
• Look Beyond Today – Choose long-term benefits over short-term satisfaction.
• Guard Your Steps – Avoid environments that weaken your resolve.
• Restrain Yourself – Pause, breathe, and think before reacting.
• Turn Away – Resist peer pressure to do wrong.
• Seek Accountability – Walk with those who encourage growth.
📖 Powerful Scriptures on Self-Control:
Luke 4:3–4 | 1 Samuel 24:10 | Proverbs 16:20,32 | Romans 6:16, 12:2 | 2 Peter 1:5–6
Remember, self-control is a fruit of the Holy Spirit. Don’t rely only on your own strength—ask God for power to rise above the flesh. 🙏
💬 Reflection Questions
• What happens when we don’t develop self-control?
• What are the benefits of self-discipline?
• When is it hardest for you to stay in control?
• What 3 things can you do when you feel yourself slipping?

✨ I absolutely loved today’s discussion! ✨
I honestly wish we could have carried on because there was so much wisdom shared and so many practical ways given on how to show honor and respect towards people.
We began the call by acknowledging Women’s Day, wishing all women a happy Women’s Day, encouraging, uplifting, and celebrating one another as we continue to grow together in purpose and excellence. 💐
Our main topic was Honor vs Disrespect, and here are some of the powerful points we covered:
• Honoring those in authority — including government leaders, traffic laws, tax laws, and all ways the government requires our obedience, so we remain blameless before man and before God.
• Honoring God — showing Him respect through worship, reverence, and kneeling before Him.
• Honoring the elderly — acknowledging the wisdom they’ve gained through life’s experiences, treating them with love and compassion so that one day, we too may be honored in our old age.
• Honoring family, peers, co-workers, and society — acting out respect daily to maintain strong, healthy relationships.
• Honoring yourself — understanding the importance of self respect as the foundation of how we treat others.
💬 Quote of the day:
"The only thing that walks back from the tomb with mourners and refuses to be buried is the character of a man. It is true that the character of a man survives him and it cannot be buried." – J.R. Miller

🌿 Gentle reflection... 🌿
Many times, we shy away from being accountable for our character. Pride can make it difficult to embrace new approaches, and some have unknowingly settled into patterns of self sabotage or toxic behaviors simply because society hasn’t shown them another way.
But in our Connect Group, there’s no judgment or condemnation only progressive encouragement and a shared commitment to growth. Together, we’re learning, unlearning, and developing healthier behaviors and relational intelligence in a safe, supportive space.
In our last topic we discussed the quality of Attentiveness vs Distraction
Highlighted tips and best practices were:
-Learning to maintain eye contact
-Staying off the phone when listening to others
-Aligning the spine for good posture to be perceived attentive
-How to ask questions for clarity and understanding
-Learning to listen both with physical ears and spiritually atuning every fiber of your being for understanding, effective learning, writing notes for remembrance and responding effectively.
-Defining what multitasking is and how neither task get undivided attention hence applying limited Attentiveness.
-How Attentiveness yeilds respect, care, closeness and effective communication and relationship building.
So much was discussed in the session and we're looking forward to discussing more topics tomorrow and in the coming weeks.
✨ Let’s grow together. Join us for the next session on the link below. 💬👇

Good character isn’t just about being “nice” it’s deeply connected to class, quality control, style, mindfulness, and it's all about being demure. 💫

✨ That’s why I invite YOU to join the Character Reformers Group, a new community dedicated to polishing character, correcting flaws, and cultivating a lifestyle of excellence.
