Land boards, all of them in Botswana suffer a special historical psychological condition rooted in our colonial past, they were bequeathed the defunct land management systems of the native advisory council that suppresses the natives from excelling in land utilization. They have it switched in their brains that they own the land which belongs to the tribe and they hold in trust. Land Boards are the worst departments in the country by calculated design so that they deter and frustrate the development of the country using the worlds best land management systems that confer title and appropriate use for optimum benefit to the title holder. They do not understand the value of land at all and how to manage it for development purposes, therefore to that extent they are the biggest impediment to development of the country commanding a strangle hold over 70 percent of the country and hence 70 percent of the countries development. I am one of the sons of this country born to expose and destroy the mental sickness in land boards instituted by the oppressor, racist, colonial, British government.

The Permanent Secretary after writing as she did above claiming that the sub land boards have no power to process change of land use applications, today answered the question to the PAC committee and declared that Sub land Board has the full power to process change of land use application. She is incompetent, ill informed and a threat to the economic security's of Batswana.

The other resignation is for the statement made by the Kgatleng Land Board Chair that confirms that the extension of the moratorium was never communicated to the public. That is the worst insult to our intelligence.

The Turning Point -The Presidential Directive

This directive was a well received and notion to Batswana at large.

There was an influx in taking advantage of this rare and life transforming directive.

What the land owners did not know was the tug of war which would unfold...

Let us not be guilty of the same thing we are accusing our government of doing."

What you need to know:

Land Board capitalises on ignorance. Most matters don't even need to end up in court if the right moves are made. We could resolve them intelligently way before. We should all understand land board procedures and the laws that are the basis of and govern these procedures.

We must avoid the Land Tribunal it's just another Government department. The President of the Land Tribunal reports to the P.S in the MLWS. It's not a court of equity like we are led to believe.

One hundred households along President drive (main road in Kasane) will be relocated to pave way for new developments. How can these people become part of the new development instead of causalities of the new development ? As it is today in fear of the impending forced relocation the poor families are selling off their plots to Indians at a give away who will now implement the Development Plan, Why are we victims of Development Plans rather than first tier beneficiaries.

This is happening in Kasane right now as we speak. Go there and see it for yourself. Indians are moving into Kasane with a clear mission and we the people are spectators at the foot of the rich-man's table like the Bible's Lazarus wating for crumbs that fall of the rich-man's table when we can go and create a table of our own.

Now what is planned in Kasane is planned for you here in Kgatleng unless you act now and follow sound advise as a group, the government will dispossess its citizenry with a clear conscience.

They are proud of what they are doing to the us. Remember that, thats what they wake up every morning to go to work and do."

I am hunting for the building permission of the Choppies and Commercial Centre that is situate on the Masimo that Jamali bought in Tlokweng. I will share it publicly and give a narration about it in contrast and comparison with our current challenges of changing use of agricultural land in Botswana. Let us stay calm, focused and resolute. Let one teach one and lets all become land knowledgeable its not rocket science. Land is land it does not matter whether it is Tribal Land, Freehold Land or State Land. Its land and its service is to humanity. The coloniser is the one who introduced Crown Land, Native land (Tribal Land) or Tribal Reserves and freehold land. The coloniser also introduced the Native Advisory Council under the so called eight major tribes. All this racism is now being perpetuated by the same government of our own kind against us can you believe it. They continue the same attitude toward the so called Native Land (Tribal Land). Now they are operating by remote control in the interest of our former colonizers. They use trickery and deception claiming that Batswana will sell off the land to foreigners if they are permitted to change use when they know very well that you cannot sell a lease."

A contrast to the above story.

"The woman who owned the field where Bokamoso Private Hospital is located was moved by land board and given 3000 p**a then a private multimillion p**a business was given the land. Imagine !!! So the poor woman who i only met after the fact has no right to benefit from leasing her land to the same business or even better still leasing the building which we could have easily helped her build. That rip off hospital that charges premium for even a swab displaced a poor Motswana woman to benefit the rich and keep the poor poor. All this orchestrated seamlessly by the Government that we elected and pay taxes to. I humbly submit that we are financing our own oppression and this has to stop."

‘We find evidence of a political leadership that for the last 30 years, has increasingly fallen into the clutches of an underperforming public service that has grown more robust in obstruction than in productivity. We find an evolving culture of a democratically elected but increasingly pliable political leadership of the last three decades, held to ransom by groups of abrasive technocrats in low productivity mode, albeit with rising incidences of corruption. It is in our introspection that we find entrenched interests causing economic exclusion and denigration of our people, indigenous Batswana in particular, who are the lowest in the food chain, so to speak...’
While there have been some notably positive outcomes, a litany of unfinished or poorly executed projects fills the development road maps of the last 30 years like leaky sacksful of dirt on a neglected road. The mindset of our people has been pulverised by such negativity that a cancerous inferiority complex thwarts the ambitions of young and old. Truth be told, we have as a nation excluded ourselves from our own development.’
