SUMMER COACHING CAMP

DAY 1
The Summer Table Tennis Coaching Camp began with an orientation session where the participants discussed the ground rules and expectations for the camp. This was followed by a general warm-up session to prepare everyone for the training.
The participants were then introduced to the two basic table tennis grips: the shakehand grip and the penhold grip. They also learned and practiced the fundamental skills of the forehand push and backhand push.
The day concluded with a revision of the lessons covered.
A total of 18 participants are attending the camp. The participants also include students from Jampeling Central School and Trashigang Middle Secondary School, making the camp a wonderful opportunity for students from different schools to learn and develop their table tennis skills together.

Inter House Degor Competition

The inter-house competition was successfully conducted with great enthusiasm and sportsmanship. Congratulations to Namgay House for emerging as the champion and to Jigme House for securing the runner-up position. Well done to all the participants for their active involvement and teamwork.

World Kids Athletics Day

We have marked World Kids Athletics Day with some activities to create awareness among students about healthy and better living through sports and play.

When the next Asian Games arrive in Aichi-Nagoya, it will not feel like just another edition of a multi-sport event. It will reflect how far Asian sport has come and where it is heading next.

At its core, the programme is ambitious, featuring 41 sports carefully selected and shaped through months of discussion under the guidance of the Olympic Council of Asia. Beyond the numbers, what stands out is the balance between tradition and modernity, and between global standards and regional identity.

Annual School Sports Carnival

The Annual School Sports Carnival was successfully conducted under the theme “Play, Learn, Grow.” The event was graced by the Chief Guest, Tshogpa of Rongthung-Chingsheng Goenpa, Kanglung Gewog, along with other distinguished guests of honour.
The program formally began with the lighting of the carnival torch, symbolizing the spirit of sportsmanship and unity. A variety of events and activities were organized for all classes, including participation from the two ECCD centres under the school.
The carnival aimed to showcase students’ talents, as well as the application of skills and knowledge gained during HPE classes—skills that will benefit them throughout their lives. The event was a vibrant celebration of learning, teamwork, and physical development.
