A meaningful conversation over a shared vision for Bhutan.

Today, Umami Condiments had the opportunity to meet with Mr. Masahiro (Masa) Isobe, Marketing Officer for Bhutan Believe under the Department of Trade. We have been inspired by his in-depth presentation on elevating Brand Bhutan and creating greater opportunities for Bhutanese products on the global stage.

We are grateful for the time, insight, and dedication invested in bringing together government agencies, private sector stakeholders, and entrepreneurs under a common goal: showcasing the very best of Bhutan to the world.

A fresh look. Better ingredients. The same bold flavour.

Today marks an exciting new chapter for Umami.

Over the past months, we've been working behind the scenes to refine every detail, from introducing Himalayan pink salt and organic Bhutanese turmeric to completely reimagining our packaging.

This relaunch was made possible through the creativity and dedication of some incredible local talents. A heartfelt thank you to Thimphu Comics for bringing our new packaging to life, and to Studio IOX and Luminary Motion for their creative direction, photography, and styling that helped shape the product relaunch you see today.

We're also grateful to the Bhutan Chamber of Commerce & Industry for giving us the opportunity to officially showcase our new design on the relaunch platform during the 5th Made in Bhutan Exhibition, 3rd Watermelon Festival, and 1st Tea Festival 2026.

What began in a humble home kitchen continues to grow with one simple goal: bringing bold Bhutanese flavours to tables near and far.

The Bhutan Chamber of Commerce and Industry is organizing the “5th Made in Bhutan Exhibition, 3rd Watermelon Festival, and 1st Bhutan Tea Festival 2026” with the support of GoI-Project Tied Assistance (PTA) under the theme: “𝑪𝒐𝒏𝒏𝒆𝒄𝒕𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝑩𝒉𝒖𝒕𝒂𝒏𝒆𝒔𝒆 𝑷𝒓𝒐𝒅𝒖𝒄𝒕𝒔 𝒕𝒐 𝑴𝒂𝒓𝒌𝒆𝒕𝒔: 𝑬𝒎𝒑𝒐𝒘𝒆𝒓𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝑭𝒂𝒓𝒎𝒆𝒓𝒔, 𝑰𝒏𝒔𝒑𝒊𝒓𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝑨𝒈𝒓𝒊-𝒑𝒓𝒆𝒏𝒆𝒖𝒓𝒔, 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝑬𝒏𝒂𝒃𝒍𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝑻𝒓𝒂𝒅𝒆”.

As the Tarayana Annual Fair comes to a close, we would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to Her Majesty The Queen Mother, the Tarayana Foundation, and all the organizers for providing Umami Condiments with the opportunity and platform to participate in this remarkable event.

Over the past few days, we had the privilege of meeting people from all walks of life, connecting with fellow entrepreneurs and artisans, and learning about the inspiring stories, traditions, and resilience of communities from across Bhutan. These interactions made the experience far more meaningful than simply showcasing our products.

We are deeply grateful for the warmth, encouragement, and support extended to us throughout the fair. Events like these not only celebrate local products and craftsmanship but also create valuable opportunities for learning, collaboration, and growth.
