Here’s your chance to be part of the Youth Tech-Novation Foundational Programme, a 5-day hands-on training designed to empower young people aged 13–24 with essential digital and future-ready technology skills.
The training programme will be conducted across Youth Centres and identified regions in Bhutan. Interested participants may also contact their respective Youth Centres for further information and registration support.
Participants will explore areas such as digital literacy, AI and coding logic, online safety, media and information literacy, and digital citizenship through practical and engaging learning experiences. Daily stipend provided.
The programme is initiated by the Programme and Youth Coordination Division, Department of Education Programmes, Ministry of Education and Skills Development, in collaboration with UNICEF Bhutan and facilitated by Athang Training Academy.

Over the past year, we’ve had the privilege of training several citizens through the Digital Skilling Program supported by the Government Technology (GovTech) Agency, Royal Government of Bhutan.
One thing has stood out consistently, people are curious, willing to learn, and deeply appreciative of the opportunity to grow. Even though many of us use technology every day, there is always more to discover. What we think we know often turns out to be only the surface, as technology continues to evolve rapidly with new tools, systems, and ways of working emerging every day.
For many participants, this training has become a gateway to understanding practical digital tools that can make everyday tasks easier, improve productivity, strengthen digital safety awareness, and open pathways toward better employability and opportunities in the future.
Among the many inspiring participants, the religious community has been particularly remarkable. Seeing them dedicate their evening hours, after long days, to sit, learn, and explore digital tools has been both humbling and motivating. Their commitment to embracing digital tools reflects something deeper, a thoughtful transition where traditional religious practices are gradually extending into the digital space. In doing so, the wisdom of Buddhism is no longer limited to physical settings, but is being preserved and shared in ways that can reach far beyond.
It reflects a quiet but powerful transition, where the timeless teachings are being preserved and shared in modern ways. It’s a reminder that no matter where we come from or what path we follow, the willingness to learn and grow is what truly keeps us moving forward.

💰 Monthly Stipend: Nu. 3,500 (throughout the training period)

This training is fully funded by the Skills Promotion and Liaison Division (SPLD) under the Department of Workforce Planning and Skills Development (DWPSD), Ministry of Education and Skills Development (MoESD and supported through the ADB Pathways for Emerging Skills and Jobs Project (PESJP).

Eligibility Criteria:
a. Be a registered jobseeker
b. Have a valid Security Clearance Certificate
c. Possess a valid Citizenship Identity Card (CID)
d. Minimum qualification of Grade 10 and above
e. Be 18 years or above at the time of application deadline
