The hike from Kuenselphodrang to Changangkha Lhakhang in Thimphu, is a popular trail that offers scenic views and a spiritual journey. The distance of this hike is approximately 6 to 7 kilometers, depending on the route taken. Kuenselphodrang, where the Great Buddha Dordenma statue is located, sits at an elevation of about 2,600 meters (8,530 feet).

The trail to Changangkha Lhakhang involves some elevation changes as you traverse the hills and forests of the Thimphu valley. Changangkha Lhakhang itself is located at an altitude of around 2,580 meters (8,465 feet).
