Amazing Pelkhil Cubs!

Since Pelkhil School is an affiliated Cambridge International School, our students of PP-III had Cambridge standard mid-term assessment tests this week! Cambridge International keeps the same standard all over the world and there are more than 10,000 schools in 180+ countries. As you know, Pelkhil School is the first Cambridge school in Bhutan!

Our students have done their very best in the challenging and rigorous environment of the Cambridge Curriculum and Assessment. We are proud of their dedication, perseverance, and achievements throughout the term.

Inauguration of the JW ICT Room Upgrade!

We are delighted to announce the inauguration of the newly upgraded JW ICT Room.

The parents of Tenzin Sai Pelden (Class VIII) and Jantshen Thinley Norbu (Class II) generously donated an interactive smart board to enhance the learning experience of our Pelkhil students. Their thoughtful contribution will help make lessons more engaging, interactive, and effective for our learners.

In addition to this noble initiative, the Board of Directors of Pelkhil School kindly supported the upgrading of all computers in both the JW and SW ICT Rooms and expanded Wi-Fi connectivity across the entire campus.

These improvements will provide our students with greater access to technology and create more opportunities for innovative learning in the digital age.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the parents of Tenzin and Jantshen, as well as to the Board of Directors, for their generosity and commitment to the education of our children. Your support is helping our students take their learning to the next level.

A Spiritual Learning Opportunity at Pelkhil School

Yesterday, Pelkhil School had the honour of welcoming His Holiness Za Choeje Rinpoche, along with a distinguished group of friends from Japan coordinated by the renowned energy activator, Ms. Keiko Anaguchi, for special spiritual learning sessions.

Recognized as the 6th reincarnation of Hor Choeje Rinpoche of Eastern Tibet at the age of sixteen, His Holiness captivated our students with stories from his personal journey. The students listened with great interest and enthusiasm, while all of us were inspired by his simple yet profound teachings that can be applied in our daily lives:

• Do not harm others.
• Always do your best.
• Stay calm.

In addition to Rinpoche’s teachings, we had the privilege of learning from several distinguished guests from Japan, who shared valuable insights and different perspectives on life. We also enjoyed a peaceful guided meditation session accompanied by the soothing sounds of the flute and bell, creating a truly memorable experience for everyone.

Towards the end of the programme, His Holiness kindly reflected on the meaning of our school’s name—Pel (noble) and Khil (embracement)—and gently remarked that our school is bringing joy to many people’s lives. His words touched our hearts and will remain a source of inspiration for our school community.

We extend our deepest gratitude to His Holiness Za Choeje Rinpoche, Ms Keiko Anaguchi and all our distinguished guests for visiting Pelkhil School and sharing such meaningful lessons with our students and staff.

Farewell to Our Trainee from Paro College of Education

As Pelkhil School is widely recognized for its vibrant sports culture, the Paro College of Education has consistently selected our school as a valuable learning platform for its trainee teachers.

This year, we were pleased to welcome the 5th batch and we are proud to congratulate Mr. Kezang Nima on the successful completion of his 45-day teaching practicum at Pelkhil School.

It has been a pleasure to support the development of future educators and contribute to the promotion of sports education throughout Bhutan.

We sincerely thank Kezang Nima for his dedication, enthusiasm, and contributions during his time with us. We wish him every success and happiness in his future endeavors and professional journey.

This year, we united under the global theme, "Together for a ." 🌍

At Pelkhil, we believe that education is the first step toward empowerment. Our celebration focused on breaking the stigma and fostering a supportive environment for everyone.

Why Menstrual Hygiene Matters:
Prioritizing Female Health: Access to proper hygiene management is a fundamental right, crucial for preventing health risks and promoting the overall well-being of our students.

Empowerment through Dignity: By providing access to clean facilities and sanitary products, we ensure that girls can stay in school and pursue their dreams without limitation.

It was inspiring to see our students and staff stand together to create a more inclusive, informed, and compassionate community. A big thank you to everyone who made this day a resounding success! 🙌
