The Holy Gold Script was established on June 4, 2023, coinciding with the Lord Buddha's Parinirvana, with the vision of creating world class gold calligraphy of Buddhist Scriptures.

We were honoured by the visit of His Excellency, the Indian Ambassador, to our office on 26/08/2024. During the visit, we shared our aspirations, progress, and discussed how we, in our own small way, can preserve and promote the teachings of Buddha by inscribing them in the noble metal, gold.
The Office of Holy Gold Script, located in Lanjophaka, is a legacy inspired by the Royal Kanjur Project—a project commanded by His Majesty the King to inscribe 111 volumes of the Kanjur in gold.
With a team of 11 skilled and talented gold calligraphers, we inscribe sacred Buddhist texts in gold for institutions and individuals, nurturing our ancient tradition of gold calligraphy and promoting the precious teachings using this precious metal

In a simple ceremony presided over by former Tshula Lopen of Zhungdratshang (Central Monastic Body), the Holy Gold Script (Shungrab Serdi) handed over a 444 pages gold scripted Gyatongpa “Perfection of Wisdom Sutra in Eight Thousand Verses" to Haa Dzongkhag yesterday 5th March 2024. May this sacred relics help in liberations of all beings.

Dorjé Chöpa (རྡོ་རྗེ་གཅོད་པ་), or The Vajra Cutter Sūtra is known in English as The Diamond Sūtra. Its full title is the Vajracchedikānāma-prajñāpārmitāmahāyānasūtra or in Chöké, འཕགས་པ་ཤེས་རབ་ཀྱི་ཕ་རོལ་ཏུ་ཕྱིན་པ་རྡོ་རྗེ་གཅོད་པ་ཞེས་བྱ་བ་ཐེག་པ་ཆེན་པོའི་མདོ།
In Bhutan, this sūtra is recited in rituals to help cure illnesses, overcome obstacles, accomplish wishes and so forth. Many families sponsor one thousand recitations of Dorjé Chöpa as a religious service.

Over one hundred monks from Tago Dorden Tashi Thang Buddhist University are currently engaged in recitations of the Golden Kanjur at Kunra in Tashichho Dzong, Thimphu. This significant event is meticulously coordinated by Holy Gold Script. Scheduled from the 25th to the 28th of February 2024, the four-day prayers mark the commemoration of His Majesty the King's 44th Birth Anniversary, invoked for his enduring health, happiness, and the continued prosperity of both the Kingdom and the global community
