When I first received a call from Sir Namgay Phuntsho, I was unsure of what to expect. He was a complete stranger to me, and naturally, I had my doubts. However, as time passed and I had the opportunity to work with him and observe him as a leader, my perception gradually changed.
I came to realize that Sir Namgay is a person who is remarkably direct and straightforward. He speaks his mind honestly and does not believe in sugarcoating the truth. At first glance, this quality may make him seem strict or even a little harsh to those who do not know him well. But beyond that exterior lies a kind-hearted individual with genuine concern for the people around him.
What stands out most about him is his unwavering commitment to the wellbeing of both staff and students. He is someone who will go above and beyond to support and protect his students, often putting their interests before his own. His decisions are guided not by popularity but by what he believes is right and beneficial for the school community.
Beyond his role as a leader, he is a person with a compassionate heart. His love for animals reflects his kindness and empathy. He also understands the importance of maintaining balance in life, valuing both physical fitness and mental wellbeing. This commitment to balancing body and mind is evident in the way he approaches both his personal life and his leadership.
The more I got to know Sir Namgay Phuntsho, the more I appreciated the depth of his character. He is not merely a leader who manages people; he is a leader who genuinely cares. While his honesty may sometimes be misunderstood, those who know him on a deeper level recognize a person of integrity, compassion, and dedication.
I am grateful to have had the opportunity to know him beyond first impressions and to witness the values that make him such a respected and admirable leader. Taktsang Academy,Paro.

I express my sincere gratitude to our Principal, Namgay Phuntsho Sir, for his thoughtful leadership and genuine concern for the well-being of all staff.
The program, held at a Paro Grand resort, was a refreshing and purposeful experience. It provided us with space to rest, reconnect, and rejuvenate both body and mind.
It also reminded us that effective teaching is closely linked with personal well-being and balance.
Kudos to the examination committee, Kinley Sir, and all the teachers involved in the presentations for their dedication and excellent coordination.

I may not always say it out loud, and I know I am not the best at expressing what I feel, but deep within me lives a quiet appreciation for the people and values that shape my life.
My King and my country come first in my thoughts, followed by my parents and siblings, and then my leader, my colleagues, and my students, all of whom hold a meaningful place in my heart.
I often carry a straight face, one that may not reveal much, but behind it lies a deep sense of respect and care. It is not that I do not feel, it is that I feel deeply, just silently. In the little things, in shared conversations, in moments of learning, and in the presence of my school community, I find a sense of belonging that words sometimes fail to capture.
When I pray, my thoughts follow a path that reflects my priorities. My King and country come first, as they guide and protect us. Then come my parents and siblings, who are my foundation and my journey. Soon after, my mind turns to my students, my school, and my colleagues, the people I spend so much of my life with and grow with each day.
Only at the end do I think of myself.
Perhaps that says something about who I am. I may not be expressive, but I am grateful. I may not always speak my feelings, but I carry them with sincerity.
In my own quiet way, I value, respect, and care deeply for the people and responsibilities entrusted to me.

To my fellow teachers,
If you really want to grow as a human being/professionally, you must be willing to see yourself as you are, not as you imagine yourself to be. Feedback simply helps you do that.
Most people are comfortable living in their own illusion. They believe they are right, they believe they are doing well, but they have never truly looked at themselves. When someone gives you feedback, it disturbs this comfort. That disturbance is not a problem. That is the beginning of growth.
Feedback is like a mirror placed in front of you. You may like what you see, but it shows you something real. If you have the courage to look into it without turning away, you will naturally grow.
The problem is not feedback. The problem is the way you receive it. If you become defensive, you lose the opportunity. If you become receptive, every word can become a tool for transformation.
Do not think in terms of praise or criticism. Both can mislead you if you are not conscious. Just see what is true. If something is true, it does not matter who says it. Use it to become better. If it is not true, there is no need to react.
Growth is not about becoming something else. It is about removing what you are not. Feedback helps you peel away those layers slowly.
So if you are serious about personal growth, do not avoid feedback. Invite it. Accept it with clarity. Use it wisely.
Then growth is not an effort. It becomes a natural process.
