Want larger pieces at a lower cost? Prints are the best way to go 😉 I’ve been asked over the years to do prints but didn’t want to cheapen my work so I found a happy medium. I only offer prints of specific works, kept them large scale and offer less editions so you know it still holds value.

Available prints can be found on my website www.dyahneilson.com/prints

Spotted in last weekend’s Tribune 🎉 Thank you so much to Leigh Termath for a beautiful write up & to the team for such a lovely full colour spread. She deserved to be posted again even just for the colour alone 😍 so humbled, honoured and grateful.

My most recent commissioned still life for the cutest couple 💕 Always an honour to be asked to make a gift for someone & be trusted to bring a vision to life.

Brought in 30 with the absolute best birthday trip with amazing people (but will post them to my private page) ❤️ So looking forward to this next chapter in my life after using my 20s to figure out who I am & learning what is most important. My words for this year are peace, intentionality & slowness as I try to spend more time with loved ones & avoid unnecessary stress (to the best of my abilities). So very grateful for everyone and everything that has made this week so special 🥰😭 I feel so full and inspired.

Thank you as always to everyone who supports my art practice & follows along with my journey. Love you all 😘

Tropical Houses, 2025 recently framed and taken to its new loving home 🌿💜

Peaceful new year’s wishes to everyone. A little update while we get adjusted to 2026 (bear with me, she’s long): I’ve been finding things feeling cluttered and overwhelming over the last 4-5 months while juggling different jobs and life changes. Add on AI slop, constant bombardment with the news, horrible traffic, constant contact and messaging with everyone I’ve ever known (I love you all dearly, feel tremendous guilt and wish I had more of me to give), fake meat in the grocery store, prices of everything being sky high, wars. The list goes on. My aim for 2026 is to come back to myself, prioritize my mental and physical health, feed into relationships with people I love and try to be slower and more intentional. I feel technology is evolving faster than humans can ever try to keep up with (did you know our brains are wired for around 150 relationships but we’re following thousands of lives). I think we all just need a break and should try to live life more sustainably.

I’ve been sitting with this idea of “nesting,” usually used in reference to women being pregnant and having the urge to organize, deep clean and prepare the home for baby. No, I’m not pregnant 😅 but I’ve talked to so many people who are in a season of nesting, trying to declutter and find calm. I visualize it as birds sitting on these decorative wicker pagodas, finding rest and looking inward. Have a few more pieces stirring like this but need big canvases 😉

This is my long-winded way of saying if you feel like me, I wish you a restful, peaceful and healing 2026 and I hope this painting is a reminder that you can slow down ❤️

Story time about this piece and just a note that this is not to bash this sweet lady but here’s the inspo for the work: I was asked to visit a client’s home to quote for a mural. I drove across the island multiple times, toured her family home, held her while she cried, took inspo photos of her garden and interiors, did multiple sketches and mock ups and then was ghosted. She doesn’t even remember me when she sees me 😂 Now here I am painting her beautiful banana trees and still thinking about her yard years later. I might’ve spent many hours and gallons of gas with no financial gain but I will never regret spending time in someone else’s space and seeing what they value and how they curate their spaces to fit their lives. Her garden was beautifully wild in places yet well taken care of, much like her personality.
