Nothing is more important than preparing a better future for our children.
My son Izak came to hear my first speech as Minister of Education, Science and Technology in the House of Assembly. Afterwards, he told me he was impressed. No compliment I receive will ever mean more than that one.
As parents, everything we do is ultimately about creating opportunities for the next generation to dream bigger, achieve more, and build an even stronger Bahamas.
This is my beloved son, in whom I am well pleased.
P.S. He may be a little taller than me at the moment, but I'm still growing.

Yesterday, I had the privilege of sitting in The House of Assembly and listening to my mother, The Hon. Ginger Moxey, Member of Parliament for Pineridge and Minister for Grand Bahama, deliver her contribution to the 2026/2027 Budget Debate.
As both a son and a citizen, it was a proud moment to hear her reflect on the progress made for Grand Bahama, Pineridge, and The Bahamas, while outlining a vision for continued growth and opportunity.
Watching her speak with passion about service, community development, and creating opportunities for Bahamians was truly inspiring.

A major waterfront redevelopment plan is taking shape in Grand Bahama.
Bahama Land Waterways is pursuing the redevelopment of Port Lucaya Marketplace along with the acquisition of key surrounding waterfront assets, including Port Lucaya Marina, Grand Bahama Yacht Club and nearby buildings and properties.
The proposed multi-phase investment is valued at approximately $21.8 million and is expected to include marina facilities, residential units, a resort hotel and entertainment components.
For Grand Bahama, this represents another important step toward restoring activity, investment and confidence in the wider Lucaya area.
