Yesterday, we took part of the school parade and honor this land that welcomes us, inspires us, and has become part of our story as a JOLA community. 💙

Today, on its anniversary, we celebrate its people, traditions, growth, and, above all, the new generations who will continue building its future.

Our student César Terrazas participated in the U12 National Athletics Championship, held on September 19th and 20th in Tarija, proudly representing Cochabamba. 🏃‍♂️
It was a great opportunity for César to share the track with young athletes from different departments and put into practice all the effort, discipline, and consistency he has demonstrated throughout his athletic training.
As a team, Cochabamba finished 6th out of 25 participating teams. 🏅
We are proud to see him take on new challenges, enjoy the sport, and represent our JOLA community at a national competition.

Today, our students explored the fascinating structure and function of the heart through a hands-on dissection experience. They identified key anatomical structures, examined the chambers and valves, and discovered how blood flows through the circulatory system.🫀

At JOLA School, we believe meaningful learning happens when students actively engage with science. By connecting biological theory with real-world observation, they strengthened essential skills such as critical thinking, scientific inquiry, teamwork, and careful investigation.

Experiences like these inspire curiosity, deepen understanding, and prepare our students to become the scientists, innovators, and problem-solvers of tomorrow. 🔬

We are proud to celebrate an outstanding achievement by our student César Terrazas, who recently competed in the Children's Athletics Competition and U12 Selection Meet,🏃‍♂️ organized by the Cochabamba Departmental Athletics Association.

Through his dedication, perseverance, and determination, César earned🥈 Second Place, securing his spot as a member of the Cochabamba Departmental Team.

As a departmental representative, César will proudly represent Cochabamba at the National Athletics Championships, which will be held in Tarija and Santa Cruz. 🇧🇴

We are proud to celebrate the outstanding achievement of our students Emma Paz and Chloe Treviño, who earned First Place🥇 at the Mundialero Tournament held at Pro Padel, Country Club Cochabamba, on June 20th and 21st.

Competing as a team, Emma and Chloe demonstrated exceptional skill, determination, teamwork, and sportsmanship throughout the tournament. Their impressive performance not only secured them the championship title but also earned them a place in the second phase of the competition.🏆🎾

At JOLA School, we love seeing our students pursue excellence both inside and outside the classroom, and Emma and Chloe's success is a wonderful example of dedication, perseverance, and collaborative spirit.

We are delighted to share that our student, André Alvarado, has been selected for the Top 100 Program at Universidad Privada Boliviana (UPB), earning a scholarship in recognition of his outstanding academic performance, dedication, and commitment to his education.

This remarkable accomplishment is even more impressive considering that André earned his place by excelling in a highly competitive examination taken by more than 300 applicants, standing out among the very best candidates.

His hard work, perseverance, and passion for learning reflect the values we strive to cultivate every day at JOLA School and serve as an inspiration to our entire educational community.

We are incredibly proud of you, André! We wish you every success in this exciting new chapter and are confident that this achievement is only the beginning of many more to come.

We proudly congratulate all our Kindergarten and 1st Grade students who participated in our recent CVC Challenge Contest 📚, engaging learning experience designed to strengthen early literacy skills through our STEAM-based educational approach.

Throughout three exciting stages, students demonstrated their ability to apply phonics knowledge, critical thinking, observation, and communication skills. The first stage focused on reading and dictation, where students connected sounds and letters to decode and write CVC words accurately. From this round, 10 finalists advanced to the next challenge.

In the second stage, students used visual recognition and analytical thinking to identify images and match them with corresponding CVC words, reinforcing vocabulary development and language comprehension. This round narrowed the competition to 5 finalists.

The final stage tested students’ confidence and mastery through a spelling challenge, where they applied their phonemic awareness, memory, and language skills to determine the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners. 🥇🥈🥉

At JOLA School, we believe that literacy is the foundation for future learning in all STEAM disciplines. Activities like the CVC Challenge encourage students to think critically, solve problems, make connections, and communicate effectively while building a strong academic foundation from an early age.
