Your voice matters!🗣️The Human Rights Commission is inviting the public to take part in our Age Discrimination Consultation — exploring lived experiences and views on age discrimination in the workplace and across life in Bermuda. Age discrimination can affect anyone, from ages 18 to 81 and beyond.

📋Survey Link: https://humanrights.bm/public-consultation-age-discrimination/

Your input will help inform recommendations to expand protection from age discrimination and support education to address ageism in our community.

Survey responses are anonymous and open to everyone — young, middle-aged and senior community members.

We celebrate International Women’s Day and this year’s theme: “Give To Gain,” which encourages a mindset of generosity and collaboration.💜

It emphasizes the power of reciprocity and support. When people, organizations, and communities give generously, opportunities and support for women increase.

We’re honoured to join Women's Resource Centre Bermuda in celebrating two inspiring leaders: Woman of the Year, Latisha Lister-Burgess, and Teen of the Year, Callahj Simons. Your leadership and commitment to uplifting others reflect the power of women and girls driving positive change in our community.

✨Also highlighting previous Women of The Year Tami Ray 2020, Coral Wells 2021, Patrina O’Connor-Paynter 2023, and Tammy Richardson-Augustus 2024.

We also reflect with pride on last year’s celebration, where our Executive Officer, Lisa Reed, was recognized as Woman of the Year for her advocacy in advancing equity, disability inclusion, and human rights in Bermuda.

International Women’s Day reminds us that gender equality is a human rights issue. When women lead and shape the future of our communities, we move closer to a more inclusive and sustainable world for all.
