We are very excited to welcome Dr Elizabeth Hathaway to the Solstice team.

Dr Hathaway is a board-certified psychiatrist who works with adults across the lifespan, with specialist expertise in older adult mental health, healthy ageing, and psychodynamic psychotherapy.

As Bermuda's population continues to age, more individuals and families are navigating changes in cognitive health, caregiving responsibilities, grief, life transitions, emotional burnout, and mental health concerns later in life. Dr Hathaway brings a wealth of experience supporting older adults while also providing psychiatric care for adults experiencing a wide range of mental health challenges.

Her arrival further strengthens Solstice's commitment to lifespan mental healthcare. Following the recent addition of child and adolescent psychiatrist Dr Brittnie Fowler to our Growing Minds Centre, Dr Hathaway joins our Longevity Centre, led by Dr Shawnee Basden, where we continue to expand services focused on healthy ageing, cognitive wellbeing, dementia care, and quality of life.

At Solstice, we believe mental wellbeing matters at every stage of life. Understanding our cognitive health as we age, supporting emotional wellbeing, and helping individuals and families navigate the realities of ageing are all important parts of living well. From childhood through older adulthood, we are committed to helping people thrive across every stage of life.

Please join us in giving Dr Hathaway a warm Bermuda welcome.

Beyond diagnosis: building a more connected mental health system 13/05/2026

Proud to see our Managing Director, Kelly Madeiros, featured in today’s Royal Gazette Third Sector Spotlight Series.

This article speaks to something we see every day at Solstice - that mental health support works best when people, services and communities are better connected.

Thank you to the The Nonprofit Alliance of Bermuda of Bermuda and The Royal Gazette for creating space for these conversations.

Beyond diagnosis: building a more connected mental health system Mental health support in Bermuda is often experienced in fragments. A parent notices something is not quite right. A teen starts to struggle. An adult reaches a point where support is needed. There m...

Mental health affects individuals, families, workplaces and communities across Bermuda - and reducing stigma starts with open and honest conversations.

Solstice was proud to join the Ministry of Health in kicking off Mental Health Anti-Stigma Month and the shared goal of building a more informed, compassionate and connected community.

Because earlier support, understanding and access to care can change outcomes.

To the mothers, grandmothers, caregivers and mother figures in our community — thank you.

Thank you for the quiet moments no one sees, the emotional labour carried behind the scenes, the strength shown on the hardest days, and the care given so freely to others.

At Solstice, we know that supporting families often begins with supporting the people who hold so much together.

Today, we celebrate the compassion, resilience and love that mothers and caregivers bring to our homes, schools and communities every day.

Happy Mother’s Day from all of us at Solstice. 💙
