We are extremely grateful to Longtails Rowing Club and their donors for these 2 beautiful rowing machines all set up in our gym. The students are extremely excited to add them to their physical fitness regime and canโ€™t wait to take part on November 14th in the indoor rowing competition. Bring it on!

The Hidden Logic of English: FREE Dyslexia Month Workshops at BCCL
Why do some children learn to read with ease, while others struggle with reading and spelling?

This Dyslexia Awareness Month, BCCL is welcoming internationally respected literacy expert Dr. Jennifer Petrich to Bermuda for two special workshops designed to help parents and educators better understand how children learn to read โ€” and what we can do when reading doesnโ€™t come easily.

๐Ÿ“š For Parents | Friday, October 2 | 6:00โ€“7:30pm
Understand how the brain learns to read, why some children struggle, and practical ways to build literacy and confidence at home.

๐ŸŽ For Teachers & Educators | Saturday, October 3 | 9:00amโ€“12:00pm
Explore the Science of Reading, Structured Word Inquiry and practical classroom strategies to support diverse learners.
Both workshops are FREE, thanks to the generous support of Ascot Bermuda.
Spaces are limited, so early registration is encouraged.

๐Ÿ“ BCCL Student Centre, 41 Cedar Avenue, Hamilton
๐Ÿ”— Register at bccl.bm under โ€œAboutโ€.
Better understanding can change how we teach, how we support - and how children see themselves as learners.
