The Bermuda Environmental Sustainability Taskforce, or BEST, joined forces with other environmental groups for a meeting that would set the stage for real change. BEST's idea was simple but powerful: what if we all came together to tackle the environmental issues we share? Keep Bermuda Beautiful—better known as K

Single-use plastic legislation has officially passed the Senate 👏

This is a huge moment for Bermuda and an important step toward reducing unnecessary plastic waste across our island.

But real change doesn’t happen through legislation alone — it happens through community, businesses, and individuals choosing to take action every day.

Many local businesses are already leading the way 💙

We’ll continue sharing updates, practical tips, and highlighting the Champions helping move Bermuda beyond plastic.

Happy Mother’s Day, Bermuda 💚
To all the mothers, grandmothers, and mother figures... wishing you a beautiful day, celebrating in whatever way feels right for you.
Today is about love, connection, and the people who matter most. And one of the greatest ways we can honour that love is by protecting the future we share.
Let’s continue to choose better; for our families, our health, and our island.
Because nothing we use for a few minutes should impact the people we love for a lifetime.

We use it for minutes… but it lasts forever.
It harms our wildlife and ecosystems.
And now we know, it’s affecting us too.
Single-use plastics don’t just disappear. They break down into microplastics that enter our water, our food, and our air, ending up in our bodies.
Scientists are linking plastic exposure to impacts on our hormones, our reproductive health, and our long-term wellbeing.
This isn’t just an environmental issue anymore.
It’s a human health issue.
But again, so much of it is avoidable.
Refuse what you don’t need.
Choose reusables.
Support businesses making better choices.
Because the health of our planet and the health of our people are one and the same.
