After seeing a story on the news reel about West African cotton prints being designed and printed, Polly Hornburg decided to order a bale of assorted printed fabric. Unbeknownst to her, the bale contained 22,000 yards of six designs in three colour ways. The dining room table was soon turned into a cutting table and local seamstresses were hired...
