The Hunger Glitch 🤤
When you grab that zero-sugar snack, your tongue gets the sweetness but your brain gets completely short-circuited.
That’s because artificial sweeteners pull a massive bait-and-switch on your metabolism.
When your tastebuds register sugar but your body receives zero actual energy, the hypothalamus triggers a panic response sending out intense hunger signals to hunt down the missing fuel.
Instead of saving calories, you’ve accidentally hijacked your appetite and driven up cravings for the very things you were trying to avoid!

Keep Going💛.
It’s easy to feel stuck when the path forward isn’t perfectly clear. Life is full of twists, turns, and heavy days, and that is completely normal.
“Better days are ahead” doesn’t mean the struggle disappears instantly. It means that with the right tools, support, and time, clarity and relief will come.
Your pace doesn’t matter as long as you don’t stop. Keep going.

Bermuda Day is coming!🇧🇲🏝️
When the holiday spirit starts buzzing across the island, your brain doesn’t actually wait for Friday to start the celebration.
The sheer anticipation during the lead up triggers a massive, sudden surge of dopamine, out-powering the chemical release you get on the actual day off.
The mental buildup essentially short-circuits your reward center, making the psychological high of waiting superior to the event itself. Your brain chemistry is literally maximizing its joy before the holiday even begins!

The weather!🙃
When it is stormy or highly humid outside, your body struggles to cool itself down naturally during the night.
As a consequence, this physical discomfort constantly disrupts your deep sleep, forcing your brain into tiny “micro-awakenings” directly out of your REM cycle (the exact stage where dreaming happens).
Waking up directly from a dream prevents it from fading away, instantly locking that vivid imagery into your conscious memory.
The weather is essentially rewriting your sleep architecture to make you remember every single detail.

Gentle Reminder💛.
When it comes to some of our challenges, we can often identify a clear path towards a solution. However, when it comes to our mental health, that path may not always feel as straightforward.
Remember, therapy is a tool that supports your mental (brain) health. It can help you with moving forward with greater clarity, healing, and direction.

Mom brain, literally!👩🏾🧠
When you say your kids are always on your mind, you aren’t being dramatic. It is pure biology!
When a woman is pregnant, tiny cells from the baby travel across the placenta and hitch a ride through the mother’s bloodstream. These microscopic travelers eventually settle into the mom’s brain tissue through a process called fetal microchimerism. Your child essentially leaves a permanent biological fingerprint inside your head.
Evidence shows these guest cells might help your body repair itself or even strengthen your immune system.

Your patterns are parenting too.
You can ignore your insecurities, avoid your emotions, and push past your own patterns… but that does not mean they disappear.
Instead, they show up in how you react, communicate, and behave with others, especially your children.
Perfection is not the goal in parenting, but what goes unaddressed does not stay with you, it shows up in the relationship and shapes how your children experience you.

We’re just babies! 🧠
Your frontal lobe may reach maturity around age 25, but your brain in its entirety continues developing into your early 30s!
During this time, the connections in your brain strengthen leading to faster information processing, effective emotional regulation and more. That means increased clarity, better decision making, and stronger emotional control.
So if things feel clearer now, that is not coincidence… that is your brain stepping into real adulthood.
