🌴BERMUDA🌴 We’re gathering for an evening of good spirits with a screening of “In the Belly of the Moon”, a 94 minute documentary - accompanied with an artist talk from Antoine Hunt

We’ll be tasting some mezcal while discussion questions folks may have from the film, which starts at 6PM, June 18th 🥂

In the Belly of the Moon: “Story about creation of the spirit mezcal that weaves musical ethnography with scale-free cinematography to create an experience you can taste and explore different social and psychological landscapes. Every ounce of mezcal embodies vast tracts of Mesoamerican history. To experience its essence, we enter into its many worlds and wander its many paths. The destination is everywhere and the journey is intoxicating.”

On the back of the Topshell, we’ve got an 82 to feature the year reintroduction efforts for this snail population began 🐌 For our Kiskadee, we’ve got a 25, otherwise known as the number of bird species known to breed on the island 🐦‍⬛✨

Swap, style, and upcycle your wardrobe with interactive craft stations, such as fabric painting, embroidery, and DIY patch making.

OUTLET is a peer support group for LGBTQ+ people and allies ages 18-29. OUTLET created a safe space for q***r youth to connect, share experiences, and build healthy communities.

🌲 Portland 🌲 This Juneteenth, we will have the pleasure of hosting Edna Sebastião for a beginner hair braiding workshop! This beginner-friendly Box Braids class designed for caregivers, teens, and adults who want to learn foundational braiding skills in a respectful and supportive space ✨ The class covers basic hair preparation, sectioning, box braid technique, proper tension, and hair health. Participants will practice on mannequin or doll heads, and no prior experience is required. This workshop is open to all backgrounds and focuses on skill-building, confidence, and caring for natural hair with knowledge and respect ❤️

Materials will be provided, and the event will be from 12-4PM June 19th. Tickets are $40 and available for purchase in our bio 🎟️ We can’t wait to see y’all there!
