Get Ready for the 2026 Bodhidharma Zenji Ryu Shiai!

Bermuda’s karate community is preparing for one of the most exciting events of the year. The 2026 Shiai takes place March 15, 2026 at the Whitney Institute Auditorium.

Athletes from across the island will compete in Kata and Kumite, showcasing the skill, discipline, and spirit of Bermuda karate.

From rising youth competitors to experienced black belts, the Shiai promises a full day of high-level martial arts action.

🔥 2025 Kazumi Karate Open – November 23, 2025
Get ready for an electrifying day of competition at the 2025 Kazumi Karate Open—Bermuda’s premier martial arts showcase of talent, heart, and resilience. This event welcomes martial artists of all ages and skill levels to test their mettle in both kata and kumite, and it continues to grow as a vibrant display of community and athleticism. Hosted under World Karate Federation (WKF) rules, competitors can expect a professional, structured environment that honors technique, control, and respect.
The tournament also features a Foundations Division, welcoming young children under 6 and those just beginning their martial arts journey. This division serves as an accessible pathway into competition, encouraging confidence and sportsmanship through guided matches tailored for novices.

👕 Competitors are required to wear white gis and must bring their own red and blue belts for matches—these will not be available at the venue.
