*FRENCH LESSON* ✍🏽
Difference between "son", "sa", "ses", "leur", and "leurs"
In English, "his" and "her" are following the gender of the subject. But in French, they're completely different! "His" and "her" in French are following the gender of the noun, not the subject.
- Son
Is used when the noun is masculine
*EXAMPLE :*
Son restaurant a des bon repas! (His restaurant has good meals!)
- Sa
Is used when the noun is feminine
*EXAMPLE :*
Sa mission est impossible... (His mission is impossible...)
- Ses
Is used when the noun is plural, no matter the gender of the noun is, since it's plural
*EXAMPLE :*
Ses parents ne sont pas bons, je ne veux plus aller dans sa maison! (His parents aren't good, I don't want to go to his house again!)
- Leur
This one is different, it is used when the subject is plural, no matter the gender of the noun (but the noun isn't plural)
*EXAMPLE :*
Leur fille est très belle! (Their daughter is very beautiful!
- Leurs
Same as "leur", but both are plural. The subject is plural, and the noun is plural too (no matter the gender of the noun)
*EXAMPLE :*
Leurs enfants sont beaux, ils viennent du Japon? (Their kids are beautiful, do they come from Japan?)

*FRENCH LESSON* ✍🏽
In French, "paie" and "paye" are forms of the verb "payer," which means "to pay." Here’s how they differ:
Paie
- *Usage*: "Paie" is used in the *present tense*, specifically in the third person singular form.
- *Example*: "Il/Elle paie le loyer." (He/She pays the rent.)
Paye
- *Usage*: "Paye" can also refer to the first and third person singular forms of the verb in the *subjunctive mood*.
- *Example*: "Il faut qu'il paye sa part." (He must pay his share.)
Summary
- Use *"paie"* for present tense, third person singular actions.
- Use *"paye"* in the subjunctive mood for various expressions of necessity or doubt.
