Time for another article! This time on annual leave. The title of the article is "Annual leave: take it or leave it".
For the majority of employees in Bahrain the right to claim payment in lieu of accrued annual leave is an absolute right which cannot be taken away from them. However, a quick glance at the provisions of the Labour Law for the Private Sector of 1976 (as amended) will reveal that such a belief is not very true. In fact, the employee has a lot to lose if he is not mindful of the relevant provisions of the Labour Law for the Private Sector.
