Between my studies in 2017 I started playing with materials. One of the objects I made this period was a tiny Beetle. After 8 years a bit rusty though :)

People ask me a lot what I’m working on and most of the time I don’t know it either.

Imagine certain techniques and combine them with imagination. Let the unexpected happen. Inspect and store it so time can pass. If it still triggers you over time, you know what you need to know..

After almost two years of redevelopment, two word is finally out. Our little beetles are back in production!

They are slightly more refined, lighter, even more vibrant and the same sturdy heat patina.

The patina goes from gold - brown - purple - blue - white blue to black and everything in between.

Casting metal as a medium to capture the tangible life.

Like fossils in stone, traces of organic material are embedded in the cast metal. What remains is a memory of what is no longer. While photography uses a lens to frame and capture a scene, I use a physical metal frame to preserve the ephemeral.
