Working together with the talented Noëmi Haffner has been an absolute blast! Her piece ‘ The Wall of Flowers’ which will be premiered during ECODUCT truly embodies the ambiguous relationship between humans and nature. Thank you for coming all the way from Vienna, it was wonderful!

It's been a while, but things are moving behind the scenes! Meet Jimmy Bonesso, the composer who's piece 'Lettre d'ici' will be premiered by us in ECODUCT. It's already been a pleasure working with him!

Two weeks ago, botanical philosopher and writer Norbert Peeters shared with us some nourishing views about plants and how we relate to them as human beings. Curious to hear what he is talking about? He will be a part of our project too!

A few weeks ago, we went on a little bird spotting trip at Neerpede with Martine SwiftLady, a walking encyclopedia regarding swifts and urban wildlife in general. Thank you so much for sharing your enthusiasm and knowledge with us! For those curious about her: Martine will appear in ECODUCT, so keep an eye on our page!

Let us introduce ourselves: we are APUS, an art collective by Kim Cappart, Alexandre Bughin and Andrea Van Acker. Our first project ECODUCT is all about exploring and challenging the supposed paradox of urban biodiversity through music, visual arts and science, taking you outside the classic concert hall setting and letting nature itself play the lead. Premiering next winter, stay tuned!

Look up! If you live in an urban area, chances are high that you can spot these just above your head nowadays. These energetic creatures called 'swifts' just returned from Sub-Saharan Africa to build their nests in our buildings! A perfect example of nature adapting to our artificial constructions. Their scientific name is Apus, and we think that is a perfect name for our collective. :) Can you spot the swift in our logo, made by partner in crime Kim Cappart ?
Shooting at Het Bos with the awesome Candice de Turck - Photographe , who will also be our partner for ECODUCT. Curious what this is all about? Follow us! 🌱🏢🌳

Though many of us look at nature and art as two completely different things, they both have the ability to evoke a sense of wonder in the spectator. So why don't we let nature around us be the artist, or even the masterpiece?
(Rehearsing some of our music and having Andrea Strizzi live drawing through Google Meet while being in Italy- also kind of wondrous, don't you think?)
