Afgelopen weekend werd de 3de manche van het GK4 kampioenschap verreden.
Jenthe Van Malderen & Gilles Renmans stonden aan de start voor ons team.

Jenthe (Christian Van Malderen) behaalde een 6de en tweemaal een 7de plaats in de races dit weekend, telkens door het toedoen van penalty’s voor klikbumpers.

Gilles Renmans racete zich in de eerste reeks naar een 3de plaats. In de volgende races kwam Gilles als 4de over de meet.

Goed gereden jongens, op naar de volgende races! 💪🏻

Afgelopen week vierde onze teamprincipal Franky Saeys zijn 55ste verjaardag, en wat een cadeaus hebben onze young talents hem dit weekend gegeven.

Mathis, Lorenz, Stig, Tristen & Vic gaven het beste van zichzelf in het Nederlands Kampioenschap (Chrono Karting) te Francorchamps met 6 bekers en enkele medailles als kers op de taart!

Ervaren topteam SFP Racing helpt piloten vooruit in Belgische kartsport: van Young Talent Project tot kartvakanties in Itali | RaceXpress Sinds 2002 brengt RaceXpress het laatste Formule 1 en ander autosport nieuws. Foto's, Uitslagen, Kalenders en alle raceklasses van Grand Prix, DTM tot Karting.

Naast het debuut van Mathis in de BNL karting series afgelopen weekend, was er nog een Young Talent die z’n eerste stappen gezet heeft richting zijn outdoor debuut.

Stef is nog maar 4 jaar, en hoopt binnen enkele jaren in de voetsporen van zijn vader Wim De Visscher te kunnen treden.

Alvast een heel goed begin kleine vriend! 💪🏻🏆

Onze kleine kanjers hebben dit weekend het beste van zichzelf gegeven in de eerste races voor het BNL kampioenschap 2021.

Mathis (Thomas Piessens) reed meteen verdienstelijke tijden in z’n eerste officiële wedstrijd. Zijn inzet en vechtlust werden meteen bekroond met een mooie trofee (met dank aan Dave Ritzen).

Lorenz (Lorenz De C**k - Racing), Stig (Livien De Raedemaeker) & Vic (24 Racing VIC-s-TORY) kwamen heel goed voor de dag in hun debuutjaar. Ze eindigden respectievelijk derde, vierde en vijfde, en sloegen er in om de gevestigde namen het vuur aan de schenen te leggen. In de Pre Finale op zondag was het feest compleet voor ons SFP Racing team met een volledig FK gekleurd podium. (Onderaan vind je een link naar de beelden van de Pre Finale en Finale terug)

In de Senior klasse maakte Jenthe (Christian Van Malderen) zijn debuut in de BNL kart series.

Komend weekend staat de eerste race van het BNL kampioenschap op het programma voor onze Young Talents.
Jenthe zal aantreden in de Senior klasse, Lorenz, Stig & Vic nemen deel aan de Micro klasse. Ook in de Micro klasse zal Mathis dit weekend z’n allereerste keer aan de start staan van een race.

Event preview - Round 2!

BNL heads to Mariembourg, as Micro & Mini MAX return!

After nearly three months, the BNL Karting Series will return to action, as the 1,366-metre circuit at Karting Des Fagnes comes back to the calendar after first appearing on the schedule in 2019.

It also sees the best part of almost 115 drivers from 12 different nations head to the Namur region, which also sees the welcome return of both Micro and Mini MAX competitors.

A reduced entry fee has been provided as one of the incentives to compete in the second round of the season for both classes, who were both missed at the first round back at Karting Genk.

But along with this, the weekend winner in each class will also secure a place at the Rotax MAX Challenge International Trophy, which takes place at Le Mans between the 27th and 31st of July.

Defending Euro Trophy champion Kaï Rillearts leads the way in Junior Rotax by a single point ahead of Latvia’s Tonass Stolcermanis, with the Netherlands’ Matthijs Terlouw completing the top three in the standings.

It is a British 1-2 in Senior Rotax, with the Strawberry Racing pairing of FIA World Champion Callum Bradshaw and Mark Kimber leading the way on 95 and 77 points respectively. Belgian racer Luca Leistra, who remains with Bouvin Power, completes the top three, a single point ahead of defending champion Sean Butcher from KR-Sport.

DD2 sees defending champion Glenn Van Parijs lead the way to Mariembourg in the standings, ahead of multi-time world champion Davide Foré by 22 points, with Euro Trophy champion Xander Przybylak in third, a further 22 points adrift.

“De Bakker,” aka Carl Cleirbaut, is back in top form, and leads in DD2 Masters on 90 points, just a mere nine ahead of defending champion, France’s Rudy Champion. Estonia’s Priit Sei completes the top three in the classification, 24 points behind Champion.

Drivers are ready to race back at this fantastic circuit, which has a welcome technical challenge and a fast and flowing nature, as all races and qualifying sessions will be covered via livestream, directly from the track between July 3rd and 4th.
