Selected in February 2026 in Segonzac, after a ruthless cask selection together with Olivier and Léa Laurichesse — people who have become far more than partners. They are friends, and we share the same values: authenticity, time, trust and respect for true craftsmanship. When you say Malternative Belgium, you say Laurichesse. And when you understand Laurichesse, you understand why we are so deeply in love with it.

As with every Malternative Belgium release, both cognacs were submitted to an extensive laboratory analysis. Not because numbers replace emotion, but because they confirm the soul of the cask.

🍽️🌊Op zaterdag 27 juni vindt de derde editie van Gastronomic Waves plaats: een exclusief dinner-event rond gastronomie, cognac en beleving. Er zijn nog slechts 2 plaatsen beschikbaar. We presenteren U onder andere 3, niet eerder gereleasde, cognacs waarvan de jongste maar liefst 37 jaar oud is!

🍰Op zondag 28 juni nodigen we jullie graag uit voor Cognac & Vlaai: een gratis en gezellige ontmoetingsnamiddag met Pierre Vaudon, fijne cognacverhalen en natuurlijk taart, de Limburgse vlaai.

🍽️🌊On Saturday June 27, the third edition of Gastronomic Waves will take place: an exclusive dinner event focused on gastronomy, cognac and experience. There are only 2 places left. Among other things, we will present you with 3 previously unreleased cognacs, the youngest of which is no less than 37 years old!

🍰 On Sunday June 28 we would like to invite you for Cognac & Vlaai: a free and cosy afternoon get-together with Pierre Vaudon, fine cognac stories and of course cake, the Limburg “vlaai”.

I can only agree with:
"Unbelievable how so many whisky enthusiasts are still actively avoiding cognac for different reasons, one more stupid than the other..."
At Malternative Belgium, besides our cognacs we also still very much enjoy a glass of whisky. But we have become just as big a fan of cognac because it is a much more authentic story, as it once also was in whisky, a story of families and craftsmanship, culture and traditions, nd not of drinks giants that turn with the wind and markets for indy bottlers that are played by brokers.
