Wat is een PATE DE FRUIT (of vruchtenpasta) ?

Niet te vergelijken met gommen of gelees. Het verschil situeert zich zowel in de ingrediënten als in de bereidingswijze en is min of meer gelijklopend als het onderscheid tussen limonade en vruchtensap.
Beide smaken ze wel naar fruit maar naargelang het product varieert het vruchtengehalte van nul tot zeventig procent…
Het basisingrediënt van onze Pâte de Fruit is zuivere vruchtenpulp, de selectie en het kooksel van de vruchten is een precisiewerk die verschillende voorafgaande analyses vraagt.
De normen eisen 50% fruit – na kooksel – in het eindproduct. De recepturen van onze Pâte de Fruit zijn oudtijds, afkomstig van onze grootmoeders.
