Greenland, you taught me something no other leadership training ever could: 𝐨𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐢𝐜𝐞, 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐜𝐚𝐧’𝐭 𝐡𝐢𝐝𝐞!

The cold exposes everything: “𝘺𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘭𝘪𝘮𝘪𝘵𝘴, 𝘺𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘥𝘰𝘶𝘣𝘵𝘴, 𝘺𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘧𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘨𝘶𝘦.”

By day three, the pulka felt heavier, the cold sharper, and the horizon endless. At some point, each of us whispered the same thought internally: “𝘐 𝘤𝘢𝘯’𝘵 𝘬𝘦𝘦𝘱 𝘨𝘰𝘪𝘯𝘨.”

And yet nobody stopped. Not because we were individually strong, but because the collective stepped in. When someone’s energy dropped, the group adjusted. When doubt appeared, trust filled the space.

Event management is more than schedules and floor plans; it’s the art of invisible architecture. Whether I’m curating a journey off the beaten path or orchestrating a global conference, the goal remains the same: to serve people and create emotion.

I thrive in the blur of a live production because that’s where the magic happens, in the space between a grand vision and a human moment.

People come and go. Colleagues, business partners, even mentors; they are often chapters in our story.
But every so often, you cross paths with someone who doesn’t just add to your story; they change your perspective entirely.

Julie Brown, founding partner of Polar Experience and author of ‘Discover your Pivot’ from Pelckmans Uitgevers, is that person for me.

During one of our latest conversations, she blew me away with her mission statement… And it made me think.

We are conditioned to be humble, often to the point of underestimating our own reach. We need the right mirrors and the right « wild » environments to see what we are truly capable of.

𝐓𝐫𝐮𝐞 𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩 𝐚𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐞𝐝𝐠𝐞 isn’t about having all the answers; it’s about 𝐮𝐧𝐥𝐨𝐜𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐜𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐢𝐠𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞. It’s moving from being the smartest person in the room to building a room that is smarter than any individual.
