Sikhs took part in the poppy parade in the historic city of Ypres where exactly 106 years ago peace was brought back into the light after the horrific war, under the Menin Gate a tribute was held in honor of the fallen soldiers from all parts of the world regardless of their race and religion. Sikhs come to Ypres every year they come on 11/11 from all over Europe and Uk to commemorate the soldiers, More than 200,000 Sikhs fought in Europe for world peace and among them 83,000 were killed. After the tribute under the Menin Gate the Sikhs held the open kitchen (Guru ka langar) at Saint Georges Church memorial) and there was also tribute at the Sikh monument in Hollebeke and wreaths were also laid in the Bedford grave site on the grave of Kisan Singh and in the La Laiterie grave site of Goojar Singh.

ਪਹਿਲੇ ਵਿਸ਼ਵ ਯੁੱਧ ਦੀ ਸਮਾਪਤੀ ਦੀ ੧੦੬ ਵੀ ਵਰ੍ਹੇਗੰਢ ਨੂੰ ਸਮਰਪਿਤ ਲਾਸਟ ਪੋਸਟ ਵਲੋਂ ਸਾਲਾਨਾ ਪ੍ਰੋਗਰਾਮ ਈਪਰ ਬੈਲਜੀਅਮ ਵਿਖੇ ਕਰਵਾਏ ਗਏ ਜਿਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੱਖ-ਵੱਖ ਦੇਸ਼ ਅਤੇ ਵਿਦੇਸ਼ਾਂ ਦੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੇ ਹਿੱਸਾ ਲਿਆ॥ ਸਿੱਖਾਂ ਵਲੋਂ ਹਰ ਸਾਲ ਦੀ ਤਰਾਂ ਪੋਪੀ ਪਰੇਡ ਚ ਸ਼ਮੂਲੀਅਤ ਕੀਤੀ ਗਈ ਜਿਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਬੈਲਜੀਅਮ ਯੂਕੇ ਅਤੇ ਫਰਾਂਸ ਤੋਂ ਆਈਆਂ ਸੰਗਤਾਂ ਨੇ ਮੀਨਨ ਗੇਟ ਹੋਲੇਬੇਕੇ ਬੈਢਫੋਰਡ ਸ਼ਮਸ਼ਾਨਘਾਟ ਅਤੇ ਗੁਜਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਦੀ ਯਾਦਗਾਰ ਤੇ ਸ਼ੱਰਦਾ ਦੇ ਫੁੱਲ ਭੇਂਟ ਕੀਤੇ. ਪਰਬੰਧਕ ਵੀਰਾਂ ਵਲੋਂ ਈਪਰ ਵਿਖੇ ਹੌਲ ਦੇ ਪਰਬੰਧ ਕੀਤੇ ਗਏ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਗੁਰਦੁਆਰਾ ਮਾਤਾ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਕੌਰ ਗੈਂਟ ਅਤੇ ਈਪਰ ਦੇ ਲੋਕਲ ਪਰਿਵਾਰਾਂ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਗੁਰੂ ਕੇ ਲੰਗਰ ਅਤੁੱਟ ਵਰਤਿਆ ਗਿਆ
