Een nieuwe wereld, een nieuw hoofdstuk, een nieuwe visie. Een punt op een blad papier. Dat is waar het voor mij allemaal startte. Dat is waar mijn idee tastbaar werd. Ik bracht het van mijn hoofd en hart naar het zichtbaar veld en zo is dat nog steeds, het blijft evolueren. Ondanks het verder evolueren van mijn onderneming wil ik je toch al meenemen in het verhaal van mijn nieuwe “merkidentiteit”. Het gaat veel verder dan “mijn” merk, maar daar later meer over. Mijn nieuwe identiteit is niet dit punt op een witte achtergrond, maar dit is wel de basis. Niets in dit universum is rechtlijnig of rechthoekig, het is een illusie, er is altijd een kromming. Als ik de designer alsook de filosoof in mij wil bevriend houden kunnen ze best samenwerken en luisteren naar elkaar. Als designer en als fotograaf gebruik ik veelvuldig mijn ogen. De lenzen van mijn camera bij mijn fotografie zijn het verlengstuk van mijn ogen/oog. Deze cirkel refereert naar mijn ogen. Mijn “lui oog” en mijn “niet-lui” oog. Onze twee fysieke ogen zijn het medium dat ons toelaat het zichtbare licht waar te nemen en ondergedompeld te worden in deze dimensies met het hele spectrum aan kleuren, een prachtig fenomeen, ik meen het u en ik zal u nog veel tonen hier rond, maar laat u niet misleiden. Er is meer dan dat, dat weet ook de filosoof in mij. Er is meer waar te nemen dan alleen het zichtbare licht. Er is ook “in-zicht”, intern zicht. Bepaalde zaken inzien, beseffen en doorgronden. Dat speelt zicht meer af in het “onzichtbare” veld voor onze fysieke ogen. Dat is waar we bij het zogenaamd “derde oog komen”. 

Ik ben een tijd terug tot inzicht gekomen dat ik meer wil doen waarvoor ik gemaakt ben, waarvoor ik hier ben, waar ik volledig mijzelf in kan zijn en een meerwaarde kan zijn voor mijn “buitenwereld” en mijn eigen “binnenwereld”. De eerste stap, het eerste puntje is daartoe (letterlijk) gezet. Welkom in mijn wereld!

De komende dagen wordt de rest van de nieuwe identiteit onthuld, heb geduld, we houden het graag spannend.
Ik heb onbewust/bewust vandaag gekozen omwille van de nieuwe maan. Het sluit perfect op de basis van mijn design aan.

A shadow-loving selfie because i’m learning to love myself and my body more and more whilst being in lockdowns for so long ♥ it’s all about perspective ♥

In the first lockdown, i was at my lowest ever. A massive hole i crawled/fell into and i had a very hard time getting out if not falling deeper. Mental health is the very most important thing there is. You should know that or it could kill you. I’m not kidding.

And so at one point i started to look more at myself. I started to learn more who i am and how i came to be the man i was back then. Also learning how to be fine with that or even learning to love all those aspects of myself. Learning what all these feelings are, which i can’t/couldn’t cope with. It was and still is a hell of a struggle sometimes but that’s normal. That’s progress!

So offcourse you can become better again! But remember to take your time, it’s not gonna be an easy quick fix. It’s ups and downs all the way but those are the learning curves. And so i started healing, bit by bit, slowly moving in the directions i wanted/want to go, where i needed to go.

I’m nowhere near where i want to be, but i’m closer to it and that’s my drive. One step at a time, and sometimes it’s even a necessary step back to walk on the right path, because you took the wrong turn left. It’s always you vs you, don’t forget that!

I know it’s crappy resolution rn, BUT that will change sooooon because i’m waiting for a scanner i ordered at and once it’s here, ooo boyyyy! I will be scanning allll my negatives and process them through lightroom for some lil’ tweaks, IF they need that. I don’t know when it’ll be, but it’s coming, so stay tuned! 🌕

Shot with a rented lens of 2.6k euro if you buy it new. I think tonight i’m attempting the same thing but with my 150 euro lens from which is the 70-300mm (and i’ll put my x2 converter from them on it). I’m curious about the diffs!
