Book launch and a debate on circularity on 24/11 and 29/11. Subscribe now.
The book ‘Working with, MULTI, Open debate, public interior, circularity’ aims at giving an insight into the process of ‘working with’ MULTI. It is a book in the form of a graphic documentary. ‘Working with’ reports on these processes of translating ambitions and lines into the built reality of MULTI, the reconversion of an iconic office tower in Brussels. The book brings together design drawings, excerpts from the BIM model, sketches, models, annotated production drawings on the one hand and a photographic reportage of the construction on the other.
With contributions by Kristiaan Borret, Aslı Çiçek , Sven Sterken, Valérie Vermandel, Gwen Vreven, Frederik Jacobs & Tomas Ooms and & Vande Capelle. The photographs are by Jasper Van der Linden.

Book launch and debate in Antwerp - On Thursday 24 November we are organizing a debate around reuse and reconversion in Antwerp as part of the book launch of '.working with. MULTI. Open debate, public interior and circularity. A graphical documentary'. This debate is very much on the agenda in Brussels today. Does Antwerp already focus on reuse in projects today? How does Antwerp update its existing spatial potential? Experts on the panel will give their views on this. Be there!

Valérie Vermandel of Whitewood passed on the Circubuild award to Tomas Ooms for his pioneering role in persevering with the circular ambitions of the MULTI project. The desire for the reconversion of the Brussels Brouckère Tower into a mixed-use building with public added value was high on circular construction and, more specifically, on maximum reuse both of materials from within the building itself and from elsewhere. We are proud.

Frumusani (Romania) - Designing a house that gives everyone who visits the feel of a ‘home’ is one of the most challenging topics an architect ever faces.
We created Liziera de Lac as a mosaic of different housing types and lifestyles. We have used the green of the gardens, the pockets and the park as a binder. The architectural design aims to diversify instead of repeat, taking inspiration from traditional Romanian housing. We have incorporated characteristic local elements such as the ‘tinda’ and the entrance porch, reinventing them in a contemporary translation where innovation and roots merge to create a welcoming nest of cosiness and the feel of ‘home’.
