🏆 Onboards Biennale Jury Award 2025

We are delighted to grant the 2025 Onboards Biennale Jury Award to Maarten Inghels for his work “I used to be a mountain.”

Selected by the Award Committee — Adriaan Raemdonck (De Zwarte Panter), Bart Vanderbiesen (Base Alpha) and Piet Van Hecke (M HKA) — Inghels’ work stood out for its poetic investigation of how visual/language, space and community interrelate, aligning closely with the Biennale’s mission to foreground art that transforms public space, invites collective reflection and challenges us to reconsider our relationship to the environment and to one another.

As part of the prize, Inghels will present a solo exhibition in 2026!
