Meta advertisers using the Conversions API (CAPI) face a technical problem called a deduplication bug. This issue started around March 16, 2025, and is causing key events like ๐ฃ๐๐ฟ๐ฐ๐ต๐ฎ๐๐ฒ, ๐๐ฑ๐ฑ๐ง๐ผ๐๐ฎ๐ฟ๐, and ๐ฃ๐ฎ๐ด๐ฒ๐ฉ๐ถ๐ฒ๐ to be counted twice. ๐
Events are recorded once by the Meta Pixel (browser-side) and again by the server-side CAPI because of missing event_id values. These values are crucial for correctly matching browser and server events. ๐

If you're using Klaviyo forms to capture leads, you can track successful submissions as conversions with Google Tag Manager.
๐ Here's how:
1. Create a Custom HTML Tag
โ Add a new tag in GTM and choose Custom HTML.
โ Paste the event listener JavaScript code into the tag.
โ Set the tag to fire on Pageview or DOM Ready triggers.
2. Set Up a Custom Event Trigger
โ Create a trigger with the event name klaviyoFormSubmission. This will activate your tracking tags.
3. Capture Form Data
โ Use DataLayer variables to collect:
โ Form ID
โ Form Title
โ Submitted Email
4. Save and Test
