We are hiring an AI/ML research intern to support a research project on medical imaging. The role involves implementing and evaluating deep learning models, focusing on medical imaging challenges like class imbalance and generalization. This is a 4-6 months contract (flexible, remote), with potential for publication co-authorship.

• Implement and evaluate deep learning models for self-supervised learning and medical image classification.
• Work on real-world datasets addressing class imbalance and generalization challenges.
• Develop and maintain Python/PyTorch codebases with efficient data pipelines.
• Collaborate on analysis, visualization, and paper writing.
• Document progress and present findings in regular meetings.

• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Comfortable working independently in a remote research environment.

We are delighted to announce that Mr. Md. Jakaria Zobair has been selected for the funded InteX Research Assistantship Program 2025! Since 2023, he has been serving as a Lecturer in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at Daffodil International University, Dhaka-1216, Bangladesh.

At InteX Lab, Mr. Zobair will dedicate 15 hours weekly to work on genome sequence data analysis in virology and microbial genomics using transformer models. We are confident his skill set and expertise will drive impactful contributions in computational genomics and inspire future opportunities. Join us to congratulate him.

The Summer Undergraduate Research Fellowships (SURF) program is one of the "crown jewels" of Caltech. Pleased to share that our work, "Deep Learning and Context-Aware Mobile Computing for Improved Academic Supervisory Processes", was presented on 11th September 2024 by Mr. Nayem Ali at the 5th International Conference on Electrical and Electronics Engineering (ICEEE) 2024, hosted by Swinburne University of Technology, Australia.

Congratulations to our mentor and supervisor Mr. Abdul Munim and Mr. Saidur Rahman Kohinoor, along with the research assistants Ms. Irin Shorme and Mr. Mahdi Hossain Hira. Our team worked on streamlining academic supervision and project management using deep learning and context-aware computing.
