Glimpses from our workshop on 'Gateway to Modern Web Technologies' from last week. 🌟

Our recent workshop, held last week, was a resounding success, immersing participants in the vast landscape of web development. From beginners to seasoned explorers, the session catered to all, providing valuable insights at every level.

For beginners, it was a panoramic view of the web, laying a solid foundation for future endeavors. Participants grasped the fundamentals, including HTML and CSS, feeling empowered to kickstart their web dev journey.

Advanced participants elevated their skills, learning to adapt existing knowledge to conquer advanced topics and master new frameworks. Our expert facilitator, Antar Roy, the Web and Industry expert of SUST ACM Student Chapter, shared experience-based wisdom on the learning mindset for web developers, covering best practices, common pitfalls, and staying ahead of the curve.

Students discovered the "gateway" to web development, along with the key to staying unlocked: continuous learning.

The 24 hour long national hackathon took place on October 14th at Leading University. The participants were asked to find solution to a real-life problem using the platform of Android or Web. Team DEBUG DEMONS from the department of SWE have shown unwavering dedication, relentless creativity and sheer brilliance in overcoming the given challenges successfully.

We're thrilled to share the success of our enlightening session from last week, introducing the exhilarating world of hackathons to our enthusiastic learners. 📚

Our expert panel, comprised of hackathon champions and veterans, provided a comprehensive overview of hackathons, shedding light on the concept, benefits, and incredible opportunities they offer. Participants were guided throughout the session, gaining valuable advice and real-world insights from prestigious hackathons like CODE SAMURAI’22, HackNSU’22, BUET CSE FEST HACKATHON’23, SUST SWE TECHNNOVENT HACKATHON’23, BDAPPS HACKATHON’22, NASA SPACE APPS CHALLENGE’22.

They learned to think critically, identify problems, and craft solutions within tight deadlines, all while mastering the dos and don'ts of hackathons. Emphasizing the importance of teamwork, participants were encouraged to leverage each other’s strengths, uniting towards a common goal. 🙌🚀

Our heartfelt thanks go to the enthusiastic participants for their active engagement and to our esteemed experts for their time, knowledge, and invaluable advice.

The winners went all in, generously sharing their hackathon journey. They showcased their slides, problem definitions, solutions, project demonstrations, tips and tricks, and even their blogs on hackathon experiences. 🏆💡

This gave our learners a holistic view of what it takes to succeed in hackathons. Kudos to our champions for their transparency and willingness to inspire the next generation of tech innovators! 🌟🚀

Glimpses from our very first hands-on workshop of the season. 💻🎉

Our first workshop of this season on Git and Github received a huge response from coding enthusiasts. The students got to explore the world of Git and Github in a very interactive session led by our expert S M Al Hasib.

Starting from basic Git instructions to extending these features using Github, the students learnt to use it all. The students got familiar with Git bash, learnt to create new repository, add-commit-push new materials to their piece of work and even learnt how to create pull requests.
