Today, 12th May, is celebrated as International Day of Women in Mathematics. This is a day dedicated to the incredible contribution of women who have shaped the world through the power of numbers and logic.

The Rajshahi Cantonment Public Math and Science Club (RCPMSC) proudly celebrates this day, appreciating the unwavering dedication of women in mathematics.

Women have a lot of contribution in the field of mathematics. Ada Lovelace was the first computer programmer who wrote the first algorithm intended for a machine. On the other hand, Florence Nightingale used statistics to improve healthcare systems and introduced data visualization techniques. Maryam Mirzakhani won the Fields Medal, also known as the "Nobel Prize of Mathematics", for her work in geometry and dynamical systems.

Women should be appreciated for their brilliant contribution in mathematics and they shall be given proper opportunities to work for the welfare of mathematics.

Today, on May 4, 2026, we extend heartfelt birthday wishes to Abduhu Ruhul Bashir, former President (College Wing).

There’s a real difference between just holding a title and actually being the person who builds something. For the RCPMSC College Wing, Abduhu Ruhul Bashir was one of those builders who formed it. He didn't chase the spotlight; he only cared about doing the work with real sincerity. Every goal we have reached was made possible through his dedication and patience. He led by example and took responsibility when it mattered most, which is why he is so respected by everyone who worked with him. He didn’t just lead for a term; he left a lasting impression that we still feel today.

It's just a small try to wish you a future as bright as the efforts you've made for all of us. Wishing a very happy birthday to Abduhu Ruhul Bashir, former president of RCPMSC.

On this International Workers’ Day, Rajshahi Cantonment Public Math and Science Club (RCPMSC) proudly honors the hands that shape our world, drive progress, and build the future we share.

We proudly stand in solidarity with workers everywhere, recognizing the dedication, resilience, and remarkable contributions of those whose efforts strengthen our communities, inspire innovation, and create the path toward a brighter tomorrow.

From the quiet perseverance of individuals working behind the scenes to the courageous leadership of those creating change on the front lines, every effort plays a vital role in the story of human advancement. Today, we celebrate not only the work itself, but the people behind it and their aspirations, their rights, and their enduring spirit.

This day reminds us to renew our shared commitment to fairness, equality, and empowerment. Let us continue to advocate for just wages, safe workplaces, educational opportunities, and the dignity every worker should be guaranteed. Together, we find strength in unity, progress through respect, and hope through solidarity.

Happy May Day!
